Edited on Wed Jul-12-06 03:16 PM by DistressedAmerican
I doubt he just found an old article in the Onion from 1999. What are the odds of such a thing? It is pretty clear he has never read the Onion in his life. So, that leaves the question of who sent him the info. Who "set him up"?

Maybe Hillary sent it to him to get even for the Rather Memo?

I can see the headlines now:

VAST LEFT WING CONSPIRACY TAKES DOWN PETE THE FUNDIE!

He did say in his comments section that the whole thing was clearly a DNC plot to flood his site with hatemail (anyone save those comments?).

Maybe he's right!

My hat is off to all those working this and other project "X"'s!

You guys rock! Keep up the fine work!

(Hi Pete! How's that paranoia going?:hi:)

Murder without conscience

Here are some quotes from a pro-abortion person, Miss Caroline Weber, who wrote an article at The Onion online magazine....

Classic!

1. He now says that *he* was the one being satirical
"Point one - My article was a joke, which obviously thousands of you didn't get, all the while accusing me of being the stupidest person on the planet."

...he says, in a post above where he says this:

"Do you see how they slip their agenda into a "satirical" piece? Oral contraceptives cause abortions too, just at an earlier stage than hospital abortions. Contraception is the direction of the pro-abortion movement, because they know America is waking up to the fact that abortion kills human beings and it should not have been decriminalized by the Supreme Court."

Yep, you were kidding.

This guy is endlessly entertaining.

2. After Already Fessing Up No Less
"Needless to say, a few people wanted to let me know that I was a dolt for thinking that her article was real. As a matter of fact, call me a dolt, because in the beginning I really did think it was real. "

Very entertaining indeed. Too bad he killed the comments. I was laughing my ass off reading them.

6. Holy fuck, he proves in another post to be an even bigger moran...
Satire? Was the article aiming at the women who have the abortions or the people who believe it is better to save lives than kill them?

Hmm, let's look up the term satire:

“witty language used to convey insults or scorn; "he used sarcasm to upset his opponent"”
(my emphasis)

IS THIS FUCK EVEN LITERATE? Did he just see two words that begin with "sa" and think, "I guess that's the same word, trying to figure out the other letters hurts too much."

I'm pro life, but sweet Jesus you're an idiot. For your next post, how about a passionate speech on the need to immediately free Prince Albert from the can?

27. I think he's playing victim now....
"Then came the commenter Bill. He decided that I don't have a right to say what I want to say because obviously I am too stupid for him. So what did he do? He posted my personal information online, inviting all to call me and let me know. Others joined him. A total of 5 people posted my personal information.

So these people ruined the fun for all & I had to shut down the comments section. "

Anyone see any postings on personal info here? I didn't. No deletions either. He may have thought it was a safe attack because he shut down his comments so no one could check, but I don't see any evidence of people posting personal info. Unless posting that Pete is number than a pounded thumb is personal information.

4. Conservatives don't do satire
or irony for that matter. That is why this jackhole didn't get it in the first place. I have no idea why this is but it is they really don't get satire or irony. There have been several examples of the rightwing blogosphere not getting Colbert when he started and many more examples of more mainstream rightos just simply not getting the joke.

Good to see you back too :hi:

5. Here's a good post.
It's fascinating the number of personal attacks I've been getting since I responded to the "satire" piece from the Onion. It's also funny to me how pro-aborts claim such brilliance, yet struggle to say a sentence or two without cuss words.

The last person said "I don't know any college educated folks who don't know the site", which proves my point that our children are brainwashed in the public school system. Of course the person who wrote that probably only knows people like him, rude, nasty & thrive on personal attacks.

Curses! He's uncovered The Onion's part in the vast left-wing conspiracy to brain wash our children! Quick! We must give Overlord Clinton this news personally!

Yeah, school is for fools, Pete. You'd best home-school them so you can brain wash...er...teach them the truth!

I bet this guy has a tin-foil hat somewhere...

8. You know, the thing that really gets me...
is what would be so hard to just admit that he got fooled? I mean how hard would it be to laugh and say, "never mind, I'm an idiot"?
If you can't laugh at yourself sometimes, you've got some serious issues.
What a true doofus.

They're even funnier than the initial article. How can one not know that the Onion is satire? One look at some of the articles on other sites should tell you that!

28. How, in 2006, could a blogger NOT have heard of The Onion?
My mother maybe hasn't heard of it, but how could someone as computer and internet literate as him missed The Onion? Great advertising for The Onion, though.

Clearly he has access to the internet. Does he have any idea that there is more to it than anti-choice propoganda and "godblogging"? Hard to say.
