Remember all those pictures of people taking dozens of pills, multiple times a day just to stay healthy? Well, two drug companies finally collaborated to combine Sustiva and Truvada into ONE pill that needs to be taken ONCE a day. This is a huge accomplishment and will hopefully lead to more people who find adherence a lot more easier.

7. What most people are ignorant of is that beyond insurance

there's drug assistance programs that go even further. Look up ADAP and PAP.

I was talking to Bristol Myers today and they were telling us that with this new med, consumers can get a voucher from their physician and go directly to the pharmacy to get it filled.

Overall, though, the point being that one pill once a day will ultimately lead to individuals having a higher adherence than before.
