the Chinese taking over in forclosure for all those loans. Or just maybe when the electricity goes off because oil is too expensive and their reality TV programs became really real.

5. Screwing up Medicare and creating a health emergency. |
|
That should do it. This is massive and affects so many people in the country, it's just amazing.
Ahm, 12 states have declared public health emergencies over this. It's huge, it's not an abstract, it's not taking place somewhere else and it affects massive numbers of US citizens.
What a disaster!

8. Everyone took to the street already. |
|
Thousands upon thousands upon thousands. It didn't even get any decent media attention. Most of our Dem leaders distanced themselves from the event. Most likely the next time we take to the streets we will be jailed for being "disruptors".

But all these horrible things might not lead to the next New Deal. Poor people might be more inclined to turn to some charismatic leader of one of these mega churches with a theocratic, neofascist philosophy. Hell, that's what's already happening. Where else can they turn for help?

17. Eventually people who fund those churches |
|
will have no more money to give. If they have no jobs, they can't donate to those churches. That "faith based initiative" is so flawed, it isn't even funny. Sooner or later those churches will be as poor as the people who attend them.:(

People will give their last nickel to these crooks. And do you think any Xtian right-friendly govt in power during a Depression would create a new WPA? Nope, they'll give lots of faith based welfare with strings attached and lots of skimming off the top by these religious frauds. The secular welfare will be so shitty by comparison that most people will just swallow all the religious crap to get assistance.
