Palace coup: prince seeks $135m for US home
It has 15 bedrooms, anything between 16 and 26 bathrooms (the estate agent may have lost count), a lift, an indoor pool and sits on 95 acres. And if it sells for its $135m (£77m) asking price it will be the most expensive home in the US.
Starwood Ranch in the celebrity retreat of Aspen, Colorado, is the holiday home of Prince Bandar bin Sultan, the former Saudi ambassador to Washington and close friend of President George Bush.
Should he find a buyer the prince will trump Donald Trump, who had been expected to claim the record for selling the most expensive home in the US when his Florida mansion went on the market for $121m.
Last year Prince Bandar, who was Saudi ambassador for more than 20 years, was appointed head of his country's national security council, obliging him to spend more time in his home country.
