Red Streak in a Blue State
Red Streak in a Blue State

This fall, California will vote on a ballot initiative to tighten restrictions on where convicted sex offenders may live. According to Capitol Weekly:

History suggests the measure will be a political juggernaut. Since Californians reauthorized the death penalty in 1978, the state's voters have approved all but one of the nearly 20 tough-on-crime measures put before them. "It will pass overwhelmingly on the November ballot," says GOP consultant Dave Gilliard, who is a strategist for the Jessica's Law campaign. "It is a very powerful issue across party lines. I suspect, unless they are in the safest of safe districts, Democrats will not come out against it."

1. I could see where Republicans would really be against this measure
I mean, how will they like being told where to live?

4. I posted this once before but in honor of a close friend....
I'll do it again.

This poor bastard had sex with a girl that was 17.94 years old.
..just 1-2 weeks shy of her 18 birthday...they were in love..He was 19.

Here in @#%#$% Florida he's a "Sex offender" (Her parents found out, called Cops)
The State of Florida lumps guys like my friend in with child rapists and
baby fuckers....and what have you.

God Damn...what a shitty deal.

5. i read a story about a guy in my area.
he was 20 and his girlfriend was 15 or so. everyone in their family knew and no one had a problem with the age thing. but apparently there was some other arguement in her family and her mom (i think) was mad at him and reported the relationship. so he went to jail and is now labeled a sex offender for life. after he got out of jail he married his gilfriend. they are now in their mid twenties and early thirties and have two kids. but he will carry that label for life.
