I just read the newest on the government's destruction of people over the age of 65. It seems our medicare premiums are to go up a whopping 11+ percent and doctors are going to get something like 4+ percent less for treating us old bats. Now together with the Plan D fiasco (who can afford top dollar after $2250?) and higher and higher and higher drug costs, it seems we haven't got much longer to enjoy life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha ... excuse me I'm getting hysterical! Instead of us dying of starvation and homelessness, they could put us out to sea on ice floes. But with all the global warming there probably are no floes. Ah, hell, just shoot us!

My dad died when he was only about a year older than I am now. He never collected Social Security after a lifetime of working - sometimes two jobs. Leaning off his American Legion barstool to light a woman's cigarette, he was dead before he hit the floor. Veterans, alcohol, tobacco, women - what could be more American?
