2 Cafeteria Workers Lose Jobs - Homeland Security won't tell them Why

Judy Miller, who greets each customer in line with friendly conversation, just wants to get back to her spot behind the cash register.

Mary Broughton, who cooks for hundreds of people each day like she would for her own family, misses her work, too.

But for now, the women are barred from their positions in the cafeterias of the federal buildings Downtown because they failed to pass required background checks with the Department of Homeland Security.

Even after seeking help from their union and a local congressman, they still don't know what it is that's keeping them away, and they're becoming increasingly frustrated.

Judy Miller -- "I haven't even been arrested for jaywalking,"

Mary Broughton -- Well-known for her chili and soups

Gee, maybe the chili or bean soup gave some Fed a gas attack - real WMD. :sarcasm:

4. This shit is happening all over the country, at airports everywhere
People get harassed and hassled for NO EARTHLY REASON. People who have had high level clearances and worked for the Federal government. This government has an "enemies list" just like Nixon did. And the assholes running the list think it's FUNNY to do shit like put Ted Kennedy on it,

I'll betcha both of those ladies are registered Democrats, and maybe even made a contribution to a candidate.

7. They may be a pair of tree huggers
These days hugging trees puts one on the suspect list. Or some other non-BushCo approved activity.

We don't have a lot of them in Pittsburgh - especially in these ladies age bracket. Bet they are not even very politically active. May be registered Dems - but in Pittsburgh which is a Dem city with a lot of DINO voters that would be the norm.

I bet the asses at DHS who are protecting Petting Zoos have their names confused with someone else. And the people at DHS are too f'ing arrogant to give a damn or correct their mistake. Why should they care about the peons!
