Would this be a violation of international law?
Hezbollah allegedly transferring Israeli POW's to Iran? That would seem to be a violation of the Geneva Conventions. I expect Israel, Lebanaon and Hezbollah to abide by these rules.

And before someone gets snippy, yes I know the United States has been pissing all over the Geneva Convention and doing renditions of prisoners, but I also believe that violations of international law should be condemned whenever and whoever is involved. Bad behavior should not be excused by mentioning other bad behavior.

The fact that the US violates these rules does not give other nations/armies the right to break the rules too.

1. No, but it
does give them "well they did too" excuse. No that doesn't make it right, it just makes condemming anyone else harder, not that it will stop anyone.

2. I, for one, am NOT automatically assuming those reports are accurate
I will wait and see if Hezbollah is indeed doing so.

It sounds a little too easy of a charge to make, without having to prove, if you wanted to draw the US into a war with Iran.

3. You need to rethink your expectations
Hezbollah has never followed the Geneva Conventions. Israel is better, but not all the time. I don't think the current Lebanese national army has ever taken a prisoner.

4. Hezbollah is not governed by the Geneva Convention
That's like saying, Geez...shouldn't the Mafia be forced to follow New York's posted speed limit?

5. Actually I think they are
If they're part of Lebanon's Parliament, and Lebanon is a signatory, then they are.

6. It's not that kind of organization
And who exactly is going to bring them to the Hague anyway?
