Republicans are Hypocrites....... DOT COM!
Edited on Thu Jul-13-06 01:52 PM by Lisa0825
I am pleased to announce that WestHoustonDem and myself have just purchased the domain www.RepublicansAreHypocrites.com! :woohoo:

I got the idea from a link that Czolgosz posted in the Texas forum, http://greg-abbott-is-a-hypocrite.blogspot.com/

I thought "That ain't news! All Republicans are hypocrites!" ding! ding! ding! (That's my idea bell ringing!)

So, I immediately emailed WestHoustonDem, because she's the one with the designin' skills, and it's a go!

As DUers, we recognize that we have at our beck and call the BEST researchers on the net, and frankly, examples of Republican hypocrisy are so plentiful, that we figure we will have NO PROBLEM getting material for the site.

What we would like from you is your favorite examples of Republican hypocrisy, with sources, links, etc when possible. Incriminating or humiliating photos would be nice too. We figure we'll have enough for special sections on sexual deviants, DINOs (hell, Lieberman should get an award himself!), and since she and I are Texans, well, you KNOW we have a lot of examples ready to go!

So, fire away folks! Give us your best material!

And check that url for updates!

If you want to make a submission by email, send it to me at Lisa@republicansarehypocrites.com

1. So,...
...does that make you and WestHoustonDem beck-and-call girls? (Yes, I stole it from Pretty Woman...so?) Seriously, good job, and I look forward to seeing it up and running!

7. Actually, honey....
The beck-and-call girls would technically be the ones at OUR beck and call... lol  and for the record, I'd rather have a beck-and-call boy, but that just doesn't sound quite right!

2. Ill look it up later, but...

The Republicans have used the federal government to block state and local laws, specifically environmental standards.

They are supposed to be against federal regulation and they believe more in "states rights", but it seems that isn't necessarily always the case.

9. someone sent me an email recently.....
...you know how they're always talking about the sanctity of marriage. Anyway, this email listed many Republicans who had been divorced and remarried several times.

And there is another one listing military experience. They have no problem sending young people into battle but apparently were not willing to do it themselves.

11. You'll have so much material you'll clog the tubes on the Internet
http://blog.wired.com/27BStroke6/?entry_id=1512499
Senator Ted Stevens explains the Internet
They want to deliver vast amounts of information over the internet. And again, the internet is not something you just dump something on. It's not a truck.

It's a series of tubes.

And if you don't understand those tubes can be filled and if they are filled, when you put your message in, it gets in line and its going to be delayed by anyone that puts into that tube enormous amounts of material, enormous amounts of material.

"enormous amounts of material, enormous amounts of material"

fighting to prevent others from having the same right to seek vindication through the civil justice system (Abbott's far from the only hypocritical Reptilican on this issue).

25. louiegohmertisalittlebitch.com
But first, a little background:

Congressman Louie Gohmert is still fielding the flak from an exchange he had on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday, when he said if U.S. Rep. John Murtha, D-Pa., and his views had prevailed during World War II, Americans would now be speaking German or Japanese.

Murtha, a former Marine and a decorated Vietnam veteran, has called for an immediate pullout of U.S. troops from Iraq.

Gohmert, R-Tyler (from Texas - d), said Murtha had done honorable service for America.

"Let me close by saying some have not had nice things to say about our colleague Mr. Murtha, and others wanting to pull out of Iraq quickly," Gohmert said. "I understand the faithful visitation that he does routinely. So I say thank God for his big heart. I say thank God for his compassion. Thank God for his visits to the wounded. Thank God for his ministering to grieving families. But thank God he was not here and prevailed after the bloodbaths at Normandy and in the Pacific or we would be here speaking Japanese or German."

http://www.zwire.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=16810588&BRD=1994&PAG=461&dept_id=227937&rfi=6

You know, that Louie Gohmert is a little bitch! He deserves a blog that says just that.

30. Your site should have an official theme
And Day's Drive provides just the right touch with their song "You’re A Hypocrite". Hope you enjoyed their show. I really love their CD.
