I think it is possible that they wanted SOMEONE with credibility (like a former VP) to say that stuff out in the open. Current senators are being ignored anyway by the 24 hour media cycle. Also, the RNC has to go after Gore, which they look stupid for going after since he isn't even in the government any more.

3. See that is kinda the point, there is like a silent approval. Both DiFi

and Boxer were there from what I heard and who knows who else...

So some of them (even DiFi) were there yet they didn't tell anyone they were there, like Boxer. So, I think it is possible that they could be purposely being quiet about this. Gore sturs up the debate while Senate dems get to look clean going into the hearings into the NSA spying stuff.

Had that been true, I would hope Hillary would've let Gore be the Democrat's voice yesterday. Her timing is terrible. I suppose it could've been worse, though. She could've been on one of her rightward swings and undercut Gore's points. We wouldn't ever have heard the end of that in the M$M.

Meanwhile Congressmen John Conyers, Bobby Scott and my own Rep. Chris Van Hollen will hold their own hearing Friday on the surveillance program.
