One of the best LTTEs I've ever read
I don't know this guy from hell, but he should be a DUer. His letter is in response to a Miami Herald article that ragged on Jeb Bush for his bad hires. The link to the article he is responding to, as well as the link to the LTTE, are posted below. RIM

Bush's bad hires

Re the July 11 story Governor's hires under fire: This story barely scratched the surface. It didn't mention:

• Kathleen Kearney, who as head of the Department of Children & Families, presided over the agency that lost Rilya Wilson.

• Michael Moore, head of the Department of Corrections, who resigned amid a legislative audit showing increased assaults against guards, investigations of inmate abuse and lawsuits alleging discrimination.

• Lloyd Brown, hired by Gov. Jeb Bush as a speechwriter after being forced to resign as an editorial writer for the Florida Times-Union for committing plagiarism and looking at Internet pornography in his office.

• Roy Cales, named Florida's chief technology officer despite having admitted to embezzlement. Cales was jailed for grand theft less than two months later.

• John Grant, appointed head of the Florida Commission on Ethics despite once condemning the University of South Florida for allowing openly gay diver Greg Louganis to speak on campus.

Forgive me if I have left anyone out, and pity the poor Democratic appointee who resists Bush. Ed Kast resigned after 10 years as head of the Division of Elections after being forced to purge the state voter rolls of almost 47,000 alleged felons, the vast majority of whom were minorities. Democrat Gema Hernandez, the highest ranking Cuban-American in the Bush administration, was fired after complaints from politically connected healthcare company owners.

Compared to our governor, his brother's appointment of Michael Brown to head FEMA doesn't look quite as bad as it once did.
