2. If too many innocents die, it will simply generate more terrorists.
If a man loses his family in a bombing regardless if it was accidental or intentional, I'd say the chances are higher he will become a militant than if his family had lived.

3. The death of innocents
Every cent we give to Israel should be stopped. They were once persecuted so they now choose to persecute innocents?

7. I feel badly for the victims of a war they didn't have a part in.
Much as I do those civilian victims of suicide attacks in Israel.

12. I think just Haifa.
Everything else I have seen has them taking "credit" for attacks.

13. Exactly so why lie about Hiafa?
Could Syria have done it? There was some complete BS on faux early this evening about Iran doing itno mention of Syria.

14. I seriously doubt it was Syria...
...they have their proxy group, Hizb'allah already in action. I am guessing it was either rogue or, perhaps (:tinfoilhat:) there is another group at work.

15. Equally tinfoily thought
I'll admit but I meant more then Haifa. I posted on another thread the possibility that the responsibility for Hezbollah's actions is in Damascus rather then Beirut. It would almost be a 2for1 for Syria who could keep their hands clean (and butts intact) with the added reward that they could "help" restore order in Lebanon after all was said and done.

16. That I don't doubt!
Hizb'allah takes its orders from Damascus. Beirut is terrified of them! Although they do act independently from the Syrian government, they do take orders from them, including assassinations within Lebanon.

17. The fighting has escalated so quickly
but 36 hours ago there was a missed opportunity that could have brought added stability to that region and maybe even had had a ripple effect.

20. The same thing on Brian Williams NBC last night
I kept waiting to see images from Lebanon, but if there were any I missed them. This thread helps remedy that odd lapse in the news coverage.
