The GOP Reconstruction of the Economic Ladder
One paradigm that is shared by most Americans is the one relating to the ladder to climb for economic or financial well-being. According to the economic ladder all you need to do is work hard, be frugal, be willing to take some calculated risk and you will succeed.

We all know that getting off that first rung is a bitch…it takes all the hard work, risk and just a little luck to make that first big step.

The thing that has been going unnoticed by the majority of Americans is the redesign of the ladder by the GOP. Not only is the first step big, now, the GOP has made the step between the middle-class and the upper-class gigantic.

The GOP has used specialized taxes cuts, directed assistance, special favors and extra-special privileges to deconstruct the ladder in order to protect the top-one half of one percent of Americans. So even if you make it off the bottom rung, climb like hell through the middle-class rungs, you don’t have a snowballs chance in hell of ever getting into the stratosphere of the real wealthy in this country. Makes you wish there was a government that thought of all the people.

1. And they're cutting educational opportunities
by killing and altering grant and loan programs. Library budgets are getting slashed. The National Science Foundation is getting killed.

I can't understand how people don't see that this blatant class warfare. Oh, wait, maybe it's because they're uneducated. Coincidence?

2. Yeah, but look at the second rung of that ladder...
The fat cat broke it before the peon even got a chance at the ladder.
