State: Dismiss complaint against Terri Schiavo's former nurse
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The state health department has asked the Board of Nursing to dismiss a complaint against a nurse who once cared for Terri Schiavo and discussed the brain-damaged woman's medical condition on national TV.

(snip)

The health department requested the state's nursing board dismiss that complaint Thursday.

(snip)

The state nursing board's after-hours answering service would not accept messages.

Bush sided with the nurse Thursday.

"The governor feels the actions taken against Sauer-Iyer are not justified and hopes that the complaint will be reconsidered and dismissed. She did not disclose any information which was not already public," Bush spokesman Russell Schweiss wrote in an e-mail to the St. Petersburg Times.

1. "Did not disclose any information which was not already public" = LIE!
She was disclosing private info to the Schiavo family
YEARS before most of us ever heard of this case,
and that's a matter of record.

Not to mention that she has been spreading FALSE info
about the situation whenever it suited the Schiavo agenda.
No LIE was too silly or easily-disproven for her to tell!

This is _NOT_ someone who can be trusted with the very serious responsibilties
of a NURSE. She has PROVEN that beyond any reasonable doubt.

I wouldn't trust her to mow my yard.

3. Not to mention that the woman is demonstrably NUTS
or at least incompetent when it comes to assessing a neuro patient.

Somebody needs to look at her very closely, both for her breach of confidentiality and for her obvious inability to assess and cope with poor prognoses.

2. Wait a minute. Isn't the Board of Nursing supposed to be independent and
therefore not subject to meddling by the state health department? Did the Board of Nursing ask for their input?

4. She should go to work for "Doctor" Frist
She testified that a brain dead woman could say "mommy" and laugh, etc.
