69. Poorly worded -- Agree. (rant)
I personally think it was an understatement.

It is not one of the worst, it is THE worst. It seems to be about giving profit to the wealthy and screwing the poor. His and his administration's goals seem to be to create a giant gap between the wealthy and everyone else. If people voted using logic and facts and not emotion, Bush may have gotten 3 - 4% in the last election. This administration is undermining democracy, destroying this nations economy, and making international enemies.

IMHO:
I do not like having the national debt held by the Chinese. It puts us in a compromising position.

I do not like outsourcing to China and India. It increases their dependence on oil, it takes jobs away from Americans, it endangers the credit security of individuals. Large tax firms send your most sensitive tax info to India. Banks send all of your sensitive bank info to India. India has different laws and we only have the word of the companies over there that they will follow our rules.

For those in favor of Globalization, it is incomplete because our nation puts us at a disadvantage on National Healthcare and Higher Education.

One of the reasons companies in other countries can compete better than ours is because of the cost of employee health insurance. The other countries cover the health benefits for their population and the companies don't have that expense. Oursourcing is a shortcut our nation has taken to bypass national healthcare.

I would like to see cheaper education. Other countries have free education. Their workers can start working without student loans encoumbering their paychecks. In the Bush administration, tuition costs have skyrocketed.

I do not like bringing so many H-1b workers into the country. It takes jobs away from Americans lowers our pay scale. When a government agency or department hires H-1b employees or hires a contractor that hires H-1b employees, it endangers our national security. The number of high tech vacancies now, compared to the 1980's is not that different. What is different is the number of American kids who major in the fields where the jobs are going to imported workers.

When you see a cheap item made in China, (like a "Support our Troops" car magnet)it should have been made in Mexico. If we buy from our neighbor, rather than from buying from the other side of the world, we will lower the number of illegal immigrants who need to come here seeking non-skilled jobs. We need to encourage more businesses in neighboring countries that would have otherwise been located in Asia.

Higher education: American schools should have a cap on the number of international students they bring in. The tuition profit may be greater with international students, but American students need schools, too. If an institution of higher learning wants to accept mostly the higher paying, international student, it should not be an American, but an International school.

American schools should get tax breaks and federal assistance to make them more affordable. Even the average student contributes more to society with a better education.

That is what I would like to see as part of the Democratic platform for domestic issues in the future.

19. I hate when they post polls like that
With the liberal position (on the mark) being more extreme than the conservative position (over the top), which is more moderate in its wording.

People who say her comments are over the top don't necessicarily support Bush, they may just think that what she said was too dramatic.

But it becomes implied that all who answer that way support Bush.

they're too lazy to look for their own, so they have spotters on DU to warn them. If you notice, the poll usually loses ground to the freepers then climbs back up as their attention span dwindles.

79. On the mark still 62%
Although I don't think it's "on the mark" at all - I think it's a huge understatement.

84. OK, folks. Have a look at these screendumps from CNN
This poll is not here, and look at the headlines. Nothing about any US politics whatsoever.

Another reason not to trust the CNN? The US-frontpage does not reveal anything either.

97. I looked at some of the other Quick Vote results they have archived, and
in those cases where there's a clear progressive/conservative choice, the progressive position always seems to win by at least a 60-40 split. One question on the economy (framed in the context of an optimistic Bush quote) got 74% pessimistic & against Bush's little propaganda effort.

Damn funny--CNN seems to be ignoring their own data when they blindly Push for Bush.

98. But they'll still hire Glenn Beck
the outcome of this poll will be overwhelmingly on the side of the Bush admin being one of the worst in history. and rather than try to capitalize on the disgust the public is feeling about bush and the republican "culture of corruption" and scandal fatigue by hiring someone to host a show with a liberal/progressive point of view they hire that horses ass Glenn Beck. say it with me...that's yer liberal media for ya.

115. And the story on her comments, Rethugs are still in denial!

As long as we have so many of these folks in denial of the criminal shakedown that our country is enduring now, it's just going to get worse! Hopefully, if and when we can clean up this mess, the Republicans will be exposed for the landmark case of corruption this will be, and will be rendered a minority party for the rest of our lifetimes! One can hope anyway!

Tracey must deflect, not comment on what the point of our issues are!

http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/01/17/clinton.king.ap/index.html

---------------------

"We have a culture of corruption, we have cronyism, we have incompetence," she said. "I predict to you that this administration will go down in history as one of the worst that has ever governed our country."

A spokeswoman for the White House declined to comment and referred questions to the Republican National Committee.

RNC spokeswoman Tracey Schmitt said: "On a day when Americans are focused on the legacy of Martin Luther King, Hillary Clinton is focused on the legacy of Hillary Clinton."
