1. Message to DCCC: Make ad available to any web site who wants it

Every liberal web site should feature it prominently. The DCCC can then choose to pull it but we don't have to.

Makes me glad the republican morons are giving it so much attention: The more people that see this the better.

7. Where's the controversy?
The flag draped coffins are only on screen for a split second.

Is it the truth in the ad the Repugs are concerned with?

8. Fantastic ad
It is not controversial - it is accurate. And what it is accuarate about is a crime.

29. They are better at sloganeering
Frank Luntz et al/ad nauseum, controlling the debate and how it's framed, with the help of corporate controlled media of course.

reagan/bush1 quadrupled the national dept yet called the dems tax and spend, just drives ya crazy. "Borrow and Spend Republicans" just never stuck.

11. I see nothing wrong with that ad other than the republican claim
...to total ownership of the flag draped coffins and the GI helmeted grave. Everyone who believed Bush's lies and backed up the vote to go to war with Iraq without first exhausting all other avenues to get Saddam and stop terrorism own those flag draped coffins and GI helmeted graves.

12. The Repukes have already given it more exposure than ever dreamed of
I hope they make something even more effective!

Something that compares Bush to Hitler.

Although that isn't fair.

Hitler was elected.

24. Amen. We should NEVER apologize for telling the truth about this death-
dealing unelected bunch of liars, killers and thieves who have stolen the White House, our Nation, and who have trashed the Constitution. Clearly a violation of an oath of office they had no right to take.

Treasonous bastards. I'd like to see them all hang.

28. apparently the 'conservative' dems convinced
DCCC to take it off their website.

Of course it is now all over the web, has been shown on newsprograms nationwide, has gotten the cache of being "banned"...

It's out there baby!

to schedule.

But too many DU'ers thrive on hating Democrats and trashing them without having the facts.

33. Without the facts indeed!
On Thursday, more than a dozen Republicans, many with military backgrounds, called on DCCC Chairman Rahm Emanuel, D-Ill., to apologize. Democratic Reps. John Spratt of South Carolina and Chet Edwards of Texas asked Emanuel to pull or alter the ad.

16. Gen. Wes Clark said this about the GOP boo-hooing of this ad....
when someone asked him today if the GOP were being hypocrites for crying so loud when they have politicized everything under the sun, including war.....

Wes Clark responded....."Yes, it is hypocritical. It was the Republican's bad policies, and Bush's misguided leadership that created the circumstances in which our soldiers and Marines are dying. These pictures are not disrespectful - at least, not of the men and women who sacrificed. They simply remind the viewers of the cost of Bush's mistaken policies. And hopefully, they help voters understand that the Administration which bungled all this should be held accountable!"

Hope the ad is not pulled, because if it is, we have once again, capitulated to a GOP temper trantrum!

Shouldn't be that way....it really shouldn't!

Enforcement of "Weak" meme right there, if they did pull it! Hell, I'm starting to have to believe that Democratic politicians just ain't up to the fight.....so cautious and so :scared:

This is sad!

25. No Doubt
I can't believe Dems pulled it. The idea of the ad is to stand up do something, then the cower because the Bush doesn't want pictures of coffins. Who cares what he wants. It's a first ammendment right to show pictures of coffins. Removing that ad is not only cowardly, but dangerous. The dems are letting them take our freedoms away one little piece at a time.

*sigh* Yes, I know what "the problem" is, but I have to say anyone offended by this ad must be offended by their own sense of guilt.

30. This is why the DC dlcentrist crowd continues to lose elections.

It's funny to the point of being pathetic, the GOP whips up some faux outrage du jour, and the BullMoose loving centrists go running for cover, apologizing all the way.
