Coaches Accused Of Using Screws On Gymnasts

Two Central Florida gymnastics coaches are facing child cruelty charges after being accused of using screws to discipline young children who performed with poor technique, according to a Local 6 News report.

Two mothers recently came forward claiming coaches Michael Turner, 34, and Christopher Bonn, 18, at Ace Gymnastics in Longwood jabbed their children with the screws.

The first woman said she noticed wounds on the bodies of her two children and went to authorities, Local 6 News reported.

After the first complaint, another woman came forward with similar accusations.

8. If you can't inspire good performance in young charges, you need to

step aside and do something else.

Legal difficulties here are considerable, perhaps insurmountable, but in addition I'd throw in the fact that these two people sound like assholes.

Is there, among the behavioral disorders in the DSM-IV, a disorder for MAJOR ASSHOLE SYNDROME, NOS ?

Maybe there should be.

11. My son has taken clinics at...

...Ace Gymnastics and I think it's pretty safe to say that these two coaches are exceptions to the rule. That being said, the world of competitive gymnastics can be brutally harsh because of the demands placed on the athletes. For those parents who are interested in putting their children through a program, do your homework first.
