Israel is marginalizing those who want peace |

Edited on Fri Jul-14-06 08:28 PM by Onlooker
In the U.S. someone who opposes the war on Iraq is rejected by the righties as anti-American and soft on terrorism. Israel must be causing the same phenomenon in countries like Iran, Syria, and so on. Israel is marginalizing the peaceful elements, who are probably afraid to speak out in the same way many liberals were reluctant to speak out for peace immediately after 9/11.
As a result, the hawks are calling all the shots. If saner voices don't come to the fore, then this could easily spread into Russia, Europe, and North Africa, with death tolls in the hundreds of thousands or more. Israel must act responsibly.
