Where is our anchor?
The world seems like it's falling apart. It's as though we are overwhelmed with evil, beset by bad luck, and our moorings are loose and blowing in the wind.

We are in the storm--the tornado, the hurricane, the waves are high and we are mere flotsam. We have no goals other than to survive. We might cry to the whale, but we are still puny in its wake, and we don't have much more life without resting awhile--something we don't have time for.

There is so much going on that we remain hypervigilant, regardless of our mental state. We can not hope to take in that much information, but we must try--our very lives depend on our knowledge, our passion, our determination. Each day brings new horrors, new distractions, unimaginable atrocities, and new corruption.

We can't hope to completely win at this point. Even if we got everything we asked for, even if we were astute enough to foretell what we needed ahead of time, there are too many diverging paths that it would be impossible to correct.

But we're still without an anchor, still without a mooring, still without something to cling to above all the rest.

We need to stop for a moment, and collect ourselves. We need to try to look at the world as it is today with some semblance of objectivity. We need to assess what has happened to this point and decide what elements need priority, and which can be safely tucked away for a time and gotten to later. Without that, we will remain without focus, we will continue to be scattered in all our actions, our thoughts, our method of dealing with all the adversity.

We can't be hypervigilant anymore. The human body can only accept so much before it begins to fail. We all know that the stress of dealing with life at this level soon destroys us, soon sends us into the pit of despair without resolution. There is no chance to go forward without a breather of some sort, even if it's only for a little while.

And now, more than anything, we need to define our goals, find a safe port, get those moorings in sight and find the eye of the hurricane.

Every single one of us has been fighting for a long enough period of time. We've seen the reich wing establish a beachhead, we've seen them take over and ruin everything we hold dear. We've seen them mock our efforts to restore our honor, and keep us from regaining our civil liberties. We've seen them unleash enough evil of which even Sauron would have been proud. We've seen them use propaganda on the American people to fuel their own selfishness and greed. We've seen them use others to the point where many aren't even sure who is good and who is evil. We've seen our own soldiers become merciless and cruel, showing nothing but intolerance and hatred for those perceived to be the enemy, but who are really only defending their homes and loved ones.

It won't stop quickly, and there is no real promise things will ever return to normal. But these bastards don't care. The world is their lab and everyone in it is their lab rat, and every thing they do is an experiment without remorse. They allow us to kill each other, they allow even Americans to suffer, they allow death and destruction to reign. Each and every disaster has been calculated to return the greatest number of deaths, the highest toll of human dignity, and the worst possible conclusion. And there are those who are on their frontlines, the ones they're not afraid to offer up as the scapegoats. And even though we put a disproportionate amount of hatred on the administration, there are so many more hidden, so many more running the real operations from behind the scenes that it is impossible to find the root, the heads of the operation.

Even if we tried for the rest of our lives, we need to know that life, freedom and liberty are merely illusions. Even if we managed to defeat the plague in the white house, we might never know all the truth, nor could we ever identify all those who are controlling things. But we need to try--we need to anchor ourselves or all will definitely be lost, and we will not even be able to come in from the rain.

Priorities. We must set them. We must decide what is important. We need to realign our country for the good, we need to purge the bad, the wicked, the coldhearted bastards who have too long controlled our destinies. We need to identify and we need to rectify the situation. We need to bring these vampires into the light and allow them to be destroyed. We must take back our country, even if we end up losing our place of power in the world. For power without conscience is no power at all. It is only when we choose to honor life, diversity and compassion that we can take back a modicum of our integrity. It is only when we can stop making compromises, avoiding ensnarement by those who want to abuse others, that we will be able to move forward. It is only when the tumult and chaos ends that we can see the horizon. It is only when those who seek to divide us are gone forever that we can begin to reassemble our lives and our country.

We need that anchor. We need to concentrate and make a focal point. We need to stop allowing all the distraction, all the disparate energy from keeping us from getting ahead. And it is only when we feel the gentle rain that we will know that even the darkest storms must end sometime, and that there is always a reward at the end if we can make it that far.

2. Bush** is sort of an anchor...
He's a drag on the country.
He sinks to the bottom.
You just want to throw him overboard.

4. no doubt....
....they want us, and the people of the world, distracted, disheartened or dead....because they want this and their perpetual rule, we must resist....

....our days in the sun as the number-one nation will eventually end....if we, as a nation, don't accept this, we might destroy ourselves and possibly the world....or we may a have soft-landing and become the new England, Spain, Italy....it's really up to us, for only we cooperate with them daily to achieve their ends....

....the anchor and/or focal point will be found, as long as good people like you keep writing about it....
