4. Wouldn't they be more likely to side with China |
|
because Russia needs China's help and is on Iran's side and Iran and Hezbollah are both enemies of Israel?

6. I thought that the significant percentage of Buddhists in Tibet |
|
might find advice from a party-to-war dramatically inconsistent with the Buddhist doctrines of peace and stillness.
Not many war cries to be heard around Buddhist campfires over the centuries.

7. I think that Hezbollah's outrage over "occupation" is more personal |
|
than just a general outrage over "occupation", if that's what you're getting at.
If that were the case, then Hezbollah would be funding Native Americans. I think that they want the non-Muslims occupying Muslim territories to go. I doubt they give a shit about Buddhists, or actually even the concept of occupation.

11. Interesting question. With respect to any domestic political issue, |
|
Edited on Sat Jul-15-06 12:02 AM by Boojatta
you could ask: "Unless we donate big money to political campaigns, who cares what we think?"

12. No, nonsense. All politics is local. |
|
Your grandma is dying. Your beloved grandma. She helped raise you, and she's raising your kids, because your spouse got hit by a bus.
An axe murderer wants to give her a kidney to save her life. They are a perfect match.
What do you do? Let them kill the axe murderer by lethal injection, or beg for his life to get the kidney for grandma?
Do you abandon the guy after you get his kidney for grandma, assuming you do? Or do you press to spare him for his good deed? Do you OWE him at that point???
ALL POLITICS is local. The people affected have the greatest say, and the greatest sway. The rest of us are just interested observers.
I am not Tibetan. I'm not gonna harp on them for decisions they make, locally. I may not agree, and then again, I may, but I have NO SWAY with those folks.
