Bush's Single Foreign Policy Success in the ME is now Gone
What am I referring to?

Lebanon's recovery and growing, fragile democracy. Pressure from the US through the UN was able to get the Syrian withdrawal and something like a democracy going.

All of that will be lost now and for what. The infrastructure was JUST recovered at the time of my visit in late May. The Bekaa valley was peaceful and full of flowers... What will be left when this is done?

1. You're using a Clintonian measure for success
Bush measures his success in dead Muslims.

3. It is truly heartbreaking, isn't it?
Bush is a filthy hypocrite to claim that the Bush doctrine resulted in the expulsion of Syrian troops from Lebanon and then refuse to call for a cease fire in the hostilities that will probably destroy Lebanon's fragile democracy. I cannot imagine the heartache of surviving 15 years of civil war and slowly rebuilding your country only to have this happen.

BTW, Bush is also always talking about how his job is to "protect Americans" but by refusing to call for a cease fire he is endangering the 25,000 Americans now trapped in Lebanon with no safe means of escape.

4. More than 25000 I think... I met MANY Americans when I was there
:(

Many were returnees from the diaspora caused by the Civil War with American citizenship still...
