Putin puts down Bush
from todays press conference

Mr. Bush and Putin, who casually called each other by their first names, sought to downplay U.S.-Russia tensions over the Russia leader's authoritarian drift.

"I talked about my desire to promote institutional change in parts of the world like Iraq where there's a free press and free religion," Mr. Bush said. "I told him that a lot of people in our country, you know, would hope that Russia would do the same thing. I fully understand, however, that there will be a Russian-style of democracy."

Putin, who opposed the U.S.-led war in Iraq, replied: "We certainly would not want to have the same type of democracy that they have in Iraq."

9. It was on-camera.
I'm trying to locate the vid on-line, no luck so far.

Apparently Putin's jibe got laughs and applause while Duhbya sputtered.

6. That Vlad, he's a natural comediane! Hear the one about Cheney?
I read this in the paper the other day. They asked Putin about some stupid insulting comment by Cheney on democracy in Russia. Vlad said something like, that was an unfortunate mistake by the VP, kind of like a hunting accident!

LOL! ha ha ha!
