Okay! I admit I'm a slave to BUSH '04 bumper stickers. Wanna know why?....
Here's a perfect example of how powerful they are.....

I'm driving home from work tonight, and some jackass cuts in front of me and I have to slam on the brakes. I say the F-word to myself, but calm down.

Later on a get behind a slow moving SUV in the fast lane....there's BUSH04 sticker on the back. Turns out the guy is blabbing on the cell phone.

The first incident was clearly more dangerous, but OMG!!!!!!!!!.......I saw that Bush sticker and my blood started boiling. I almost wanted to run him off the road!!!!!!

If that's not an indication of how awful this administration is, I don't know what is.

Because there's no friggen reason on earth why a little blue sticker with a W'04 on it should set me off like that.

Crazy though, ha?!!

1.  I wonder why people still have them
on display. In my area, there are tons - and tons of SUVs. I think these people must live in a vacuum and never delve into the news, on any level. It's like they're going, "La-La-La - I can't hear you! I don't want to know anything!"

20. Heh, they all look alike
The men have no necks. They can be any age, but they have no necks. The complexion is usually red, the eyes unnaturally bright, the mouth set into a hard line, even when they're doing that barking laugh at someone else's misfortune.

The women are two varieties: thin and brittle or well padded and pushy. They have the same set to their mouths as the men and the same barking laugh, always at someone else's expense. Their eyes are dull, though.

The stickers are getting really hard to spot here in central NM, and have been since right after the Katrina debacle. There are lots of stupid magnetic ribbons, so they're still supporting the Chinese and screwing up the balance of trade.

A brand-new Prius parked at Whole Foods with - you guessed it - a W04 sticker on it.

He must have kept a spare in case he got a new car. All I can figure is between the Prius and Whole Foods he was a'skeered that someone would think he was a liberal tree-hugger.

What a horrible thing to do to that car...I just shook my head all the way into Whole Foods.

Some are regulars I see all the time that I can dismiss with "that asshole with the right to life plates, Jesus fish, Bush sticker and 'my child was chosen student mostly likely to be raptured of the month at Jesus Loves My Stupid Ass Fundamentalist Christian School and Body Shop'" (made the last part up) others are new and make my blood boil too. Also, if I screwed up somehow and hit their car, then I would have to have actual contact with the moran. When and if we get the country back, I'm for tattooing "W" on the foreheads of these cretins so they can't just blend into sane society.

Ribbons: Bring home the troops (blue), and fight breast cancer (pink).

Window stickers: My pit bull is smarter than your honor student, OPB, and KPOJ (the Air America affiliate here).

Bumperstickers: Democraticunderground.com, Blessed Be, and coexist.

I used to have a Jesus fish. I think maybe I should put one on this car just to confuse the bushies and/or let them know that the goddamn repiglicans do NOT own Jesus.

But a thought occurred to me on the way home the other day. Considering our visceral reactions to their Dumbya stickers and assuming they have the same reaction to our vehicular statements, how, after we get back in power, are the two sides ever going to live together in harmony ever again in this country?

Will we have years of continuing division, until we who are affected by this get old and die and this becomes ancient history to future generations?

Makes me sad, and fearful for our country. Repairing all this damage around the world will be extremely difficult if we have to keep fighting the fascist mentality for the next 40 years . . .

75. Because Bush is one of the greatest mass killers of my time, I think
my reaction is justified considering the circumstances.

I'm curious how you would react if you saw an "I love Charles Manson" bumper sticker on a vehicle.

Would you characterize your (what I would presume would be outrage) as PTSD?

Do tell.

81. HEY! I'm not attacking you. It DOES soud like PTSD...
I have it too, every time the Asshat shows his smarmy mug on TV my heart races, mood changes immediately, and I feel momentarily hopeless.

66. If I Pass One With A W04 Sticker
I roll down the windows and laugh my ass off

they probably think I'm nuts and have no idea why I'm laughing, but it's helped me to not be screaming at them.

I still scream at them sometimes too though.

76. I saw some idiot a few weeks ago with a sticker that had "ACLU"
on it, but the "C" was a hammer and sickle.

Fucking SET ME OFF. That kind of ignorance is intolerable.

67. Glad you recognize the problem with reflexive thinking...
I dont automatically agree or disagree with anyone, its only issues and how they fit into my philosophy that counts.

One day as I was leaving the shopping center and saw the car just ahead of me had a chimp sticker on it so I decided I wanted to get a look at what kind of morAn still had a sticker like that on their car. I pulled up next to them and looked over and it was my IDIOTIC COUSIN!!! :wow: :wtf: I knew she was stupid but I thought she might have finally wised up for God's sake! Yeah our next family reunion is going to be a barrel of laughs! :puke: Luckily I hardly have anything to do with them and don't see them except at weddings and funerals. :yoiks:

EDIT: wanted to add that she turned onto the main street before she saw me so there was no confrontation or anything.
