Israeli conflict serves the Republican election strategy...
Once again the Republicans will fall back on "fear-mongering" and "not changing leadership in a crisis" as their election strategy. The more the Israeli-Palestinian-Lebanese-Syrian-Iranian conflict widens, the more the Repubs can distract voters away from other issues with their "Repubs resolute, Dems wimpy, only Repubs will protect you" rhetoric.

No wonder * won't push for a cease fire. Let the world burn as long as they carry the day in November...

2. I disagree...
I think this conflict magnifies the failed policy on the war on "terror" and how Iraq will stabilize the Middle East... Bush is looking like a complete wimp (wimpier than usual) in this conflcit by doing nothing...

People aren't feeling safer now and I truly think they'll blame Bush on this one too...

5. One can only hope...
But, the RWNM is a big bull horn. (Ha! I made a pun.)

They only have to look like it's "plausible" many people vote
for Repubs to feel safer.

The voting machines will take care of the rest.

4. Just a replay of Iraq in 2002...
Except this time there's some real shooting going on.

Worked last time so I guess they think it'll work again.

They may need to actually *say* something to convince the masses
tho... So far not a peep.

I guess Karen Hughes is on vacation... Anybody seen Rover?

6. Not necessarily if people begin to wake up to WHY we are really
in the ME and who is really pulling the strings.

7. Not if the Dems have even the vaguest clue what to say in the debates.
We should be able to make them want to crawl under the table. And I mean literally!

8. Except the hard core Repugs
who don't understand that their strategy doesn't work anymore.

Bush blew it during Katrina and he's blowing it again.

He got away with this strategy on 9-11 because no one knew that our own leaders could possibly be that evil.

Then we got to see the real Bush again last August when Katrina ruined him month long vacation.

Now the ME is blowing up and Nero eats pork.

9. 6 Years of Republican Misleadership
has helped make this massive mess in the mideast.

If they try to use it for political points,
it'll surely come back and hit em
like a piano falling off a building.

10. Madeleine Albright just expressed astonishment on Stephanopolous's
show that Condi isn't leaving the G8 and getting her ass to the region to do a little diplomacy.

Here's the sad fact: our government is chock-a-block full of MORONS. Stupid, dense, clueless MORONS who don't know shit from shinola.

We're fucked; we can only hope that other nations will step up to the plate and fill what is a devastating void left by America's FAILURE TO LEAD.

11. The strategy of tension -
ultimate outcomes irrelevant - impose your will now by force, deal with the long term consequences later.
