Our Weapons have gotten smarter, but our CiC has gotten dumber |
|
We have rifles that shoot around corners, but we have kids like Pfc. Steven D. Green pulling the trigger. Our CIA and FBI have the most advanced equipment and methods of collecting intelligence in the history of all mankind, but they give the CiC faulty intelligence that caused a bloody war for no real reason other than ineptitude. Iraq was a slam dupe, instead of a slam dunk! We have the most advanced weapons systems in the history of man and are defeated by 19 cave men, with $2.00 box cutters and some weaponized Anthrax from our own military lab in this country. Bin Laden still roams free and he no doubt laughs and laughs, because he has been able to change almost EVERYTHING good in America, with a few thousand dollars out of the 40 million dollars Bush gave the Taliban in the spring of 2001.
Is our commanders learning? It don't look like they have learned a thing...

1. They're barstool and desktop warriors - no 'hands-on' experience. |
|
They're loading the CIA with paper-pushers and wiping out the "humint" assets like Valerie Plame. "Johnny Taliban" showed them how easy it was and got jailed as a result. Junior's too much of a coward to even be a REMF - and too lazy to learn a fucking thing about economics so he peddles any crackpot crap that hides the rip-offs for the wealthy. His idea of 'diplomacy' is an "offer they can't refuse" - carpet of bombs or carpet of gold. I'd LOVE to see how any of these people coped with living on a minimum wage for a year. It ought to be a requirement - along with (enlisted) military service for 2-3 years..

When the shooting starts, I know what side I'll be on.

6. I think the torches and pitchforks might have been the smartest |
|
weapons ever devised by man over the years. I think it will get much worse, before it gets any better.

2. They all seem to be miffed after something happens |
|
It's so predictable. As soon as something happens like the India train bombings they scurry around the railroads. Or some Piper Cub pilot gets lost and violates WH air space they go on high alert at the airports.
It's like watching the Keystone cops.

|

7. That is the worst possible combination. |
|
This turn of events also has bearing on another issue, the dangers of theocracies.
For a couple of thousand years the world circumstances have been very favorable for the spread and prosperity of several of the most prominent religions. However, as the weapons have become exponentially more potent as well as other changes, the situation has moved from favorable to unfavorable for those same religious groups. They success has come through their skills at fabricating the truths of life and buttressing those beliefs with other made up items. Unfortunately for them and everyone else, ultimately, Nature deals harshly with those who practice subjective survival responses.
Two thousand years from now, if the human race is fortunate enough to survive that long, the fact that religious factions that gained control of almost all of the worlds resources, drove the human race to the brink of extinction. If people are still here in two thousand years it will be because objective thinkers were able to wrest control from those whose life values were merely "notions".

9. You've come very close to summing it up in a brief statement. |
|
I've read that this problem began with humans converted from "hunter gatherers" to "farmers". For it was then that wealth began to be hoarded, with the wealthy able to hire others to accumulate more. Further, the status of women was greatly reduced from what had been a profound respect for females to their new role as "chattel", almost like farm animals.

10. The System in Place does not have a good enough FILTER to weed out |
|
crappy leaders who fake their way through.
All professions have a requirement of Schooling with good grades and tests/exams passed.
Our Elections should have some kinda filter to keep guys like Bush from faking their way in.
He is an AMATEUR in a position requiring VISION, WISDOM, LEADERSHIP, COOPERATION, INTELECT, COURAGE, etc
Instead, he dictates, he Decides, on a gut feeling no less.....
His level of questions reveal an IGNORANT person. His answers to questions also reveal IGNORANCE.
What a Time for a Dolt to be in charge of America....just when Issues like Global Warming, Water shortages, Top Soil depletion, etc etc are threatening our way of life now and in the near future.
Worse, them Pubs are DEAF to Warnings/.....Bush is a prime example.
Come, we go eat....dis iz making me ono for some good chow.

11. Bush is directed by his "divine" gut's commands? |
|
Where it leads him he will follow. He was gutless when his country really needed him, in the 1970s. His gut screamed BAIL OUT! Gutless is, is gutless does, so the coward went AWOL when it was his turn to serve!
Now he wants to tell your kids to go lay down their lives, for his rot gut decisions. Gutless wonders do not good commanders make. He has gutted the military and gutted the economy. He guts everything he touches, because he's totally gutless. His gut has no other clue but to skidoo, when the chips are down.
Pure old shit, is all we can expect from the "divine" gut. We need someone with brains, instead of a classic shit for brains, like Bush!
