Poll question: If, hypothetically, we must accept that our nation has been...
...hijacked by fascist, imperialist, criminals who will be running things for some time, is it better that they be so mind numbingly inept and self deluding as BushCo has shown to be? Or would it be better if they were careful, calculating, and competent fascist, imperialist, criminals?

4. I agree.
Bush is every bit a puppet, a face, a familiar name, like Reagan was.

The operators install fake heads of state around the world, whose main quality is pliability, and saleability. Why not here?

The operators are indeed clever, smart, and ruthless. They do not play by the rules of democracy, abroad, or here at home.

5. What about Rumsfeld, Ashcroft, Gonzales,...
and some of the other characters? I think ineptitude runs pretty deep throughout BushCo.

2. By all means be what they actually are ....
...careful, calculating, and competent fascist, imperialist, criminals. Bring them out into the sunlight where their true character can be seen by all and where their evil nature will bring them down.

3. hard to say
if they're clueless, we're stuck with them longer. but if they know what they're doing, that's (more) dangerous.

12. You'll love recess too...

8. It's the part of the electorate (30%?) who actually WANT what these ...
... corrupt sociopaths are doing that's the problem. Even as limited as a democracy as we now have cannot be "hijacked" unless enough passengers are eager to go along for the ride. We've become a nation of too many spectators - and that's antithetical to democracy. Bread and circuses.

11. I'm hoping Mexican citizens will...
...teach us, by example, successfully overturning their fraudulent national election, the lesson in Democracy we so desperately need and convert a few million American spectators into demonstrators/activists.
