I was hoping the rule of law, our system of justice would impede,...
,...what is happening. I was hoping.

PNAC is proceeding, rolling through all concepts of civility, constitutionality, democracy. Our system, our construct fails to stop this tragedy of justice from happening.

Why?

Maybe, because,...we are compelled to believe and buy what cons offer us.

Maybe, because,...we are more vulnerable/gullible than we're willing to admit.

Maybe, because,...we are unwilling to OWN what we ourselves have allowed.

I wonder if we will discuss this dark-hole in our history, twenty years from now. Or, will we continue to be in denial as violence, rather than peace, infiltrates our lives?

I wonder.

1. 20 years from now, they'll be writing books about it.
And, we'll still be paying for it...if there's still a United States of America as a result of the folly.

2. I don't think the majority on DU fall into that 'we' category. nt

3. I was hoping you would know what I mean by "we".
Moreover, you and I are still a piece of the whole, a part of all humanity,...like it or not.

Like it or not.

I just wonder how we will talk about this "passage" twenty or thirty years from now, if we are still alive.

4. Sigh, I do know what you mean, Just Me. I think history will be
a cruel judge but I hope realistic.
Your post is disheartening, but spot on. I have to hold out hope that Dems will proceed a lot differently after November. I HAVE to.

5. I had set my sights on the Wilson/Plame prosecution.
I no longer feel I can "set my sight" upon anything,...even though hope still lives in my heart.
