What happened to the Science Channel?
For the past week, it's been blank - although it's still showing up on my DirecTV guide.

1. Are they doing a tribute to the great scientific accomplishments
fostered by the Bush Administration?

8. You might have a reception problem
I don't know about satellite, but on digital cable, if the signal is too weak, the channel will be black, with no indication that there's a problem.

9. For quite some time they've really been the engineering channel
The discussion of pure science was reduced to a small sideline, with most of their shows dedicated to discussions of manufacturing, architecture, ship-building, and the like.
