Poll question: If someone must suffer consequences, who should suffer most?
The reason I grouped Lebanon with Hezbollah is because if Hezbollah suffers, so will Lebanon. I don't think you can separate the two.

1. That grouping might work if your poll question was "who WILL
suffer most," but that's not the poll question. I can't answer this question.

6. I honestly don't know. I guess it depends on exactly
what you mean by consequences and for what roles each group has played.

I also don't feel comfortable meting out punishment, even vicariously. It feels weird. I just wish all parties involved would get their heads out of their asses, make things right, and then forget about retribution and revenge. Not that that is likely to ever happen or anything.

3. How do you define "consequences"?
Are we talking about mere loss of position in the world? Loss of prestige? Or economic consequences like sanctions?

Or are we talking about measurements in lives lost and blood shed?

4. I refuse to take this bait.
And that is all it is, bait.

All are responsible. The Israelis and the Palestinians for acting like Gawd gave them the land. The political organizations associated with the various factions because of their intolerance of each other. The US for being tin-plated jerks. The UK for fecklessly following in the USA's footsteps. The whole bunch are responsible for this fucking mess. All of them.

I support NONE of them.

11. Thank you, a voice of sanity
While they all stay wedded to violence, none of them will get one breath of support from me, either.

They will likely keep slaughtering each other until they are all dead or too exhausted by slaughter to lift a weapon.

Until that happens, a pox on all their houses.

I just feel sorry for civilians on both side who are disgusted with the whole mess and will likely be the main ones slaughtered.

5. Why are Hamas,Hezbollah, and Lebanon

in the same group? If there is an innocent party here it is the Lebanese who are not synonymous with Hezbollah.

7. Nobody should that wasn't involved, but that's not how
conflicts are. That's why leadership from somewhere right now that could use pressure and diplomacy to slow this down would be great. The US has abdicated.

10. Wow, this issue is so divisive for us
... and I'm kind of surprised that so many people are choosing Israel. I don't have much sympathy for the government of Israel, but I think Iran's calls for the annihilation of Israel are putting them on edge. Iran is a religious fundamentalist's wetdream, and their leader is worse than Bush. If anyone suffers, I hope it's Iran. That said, I pray for a ceasefire.

14. I didn't vote.
Doesn't the leadership from all listed countries in some way if even minor, bear some responsibility if for nothing else, doing nothing to douse the flames in some manner?
