What the world needs is a syndicate of news blogs.
There oughtta be a sort of AP for blogs--if all the interested bloggers could get together & fund a few Palast-class reporters, it would reall blow the lid off the corporate press.

MSM doesn't wanna tell the truth about the state of affairs in the nation, well, we could run it ourselves.

The first obvious step would be to get together a list of bloggers who might be interested & contact them. Unfortunately I lack the time, knowledge & energy to put something like this together. Is there somebody out there--ANYBODY--who would like to put together something

To take the idea a step further, could you imagine--in a few years, with the significantly improved technology we're likely to have by then--web videocasts of the news the corporate whores won't cover? We could REALLY end up making the mush media irrelevant. This might be the ultimate way to take away the control the corporations and their network propaganda mills exert over popular cuilture and opinion.

1. as i recall
that was a (sorta somewhat) mission statement of Tace, and htuttle and http://worldnewstrust.org/index.php

perhaps i am conflating the site and those named in my foggy memory, for i am an old man these days sometimes overwhelmed
by the internets. Take it up with them and see where it goes.

:kick: & R!

2. Check out...
www.indymedia.org

They're pretty advanced w/ the citizen reporting concept.

3. I love Indymedia and think they contribute an extremely valuable
service; however, what I had in mind was finding a way to fund actual paid investigative journalists, not just citizen-reporters.
