Christian Newswire headline: Fascist Rule in Jackson (Mississippi)
Contact: Pat McEwen, 321-431-3962, www.operationsaveamerica.org

JACKSON, Ms, July 16 /Christian Newswire/ -- Jesus went back to church today in Jackson, Mississippi as peaceful saints gathered outside of the “Unitarian Universalist Church” and “St. James Episcopal Church.”

The Gospel of Christ will not be tolerated by those who hate him, and that was evidenced as a group of masked anarchists threatened to murder those who bear His name. At the Universalist Church a crowd or anarchists, with faces covered with scarves and six feet of pvc pipe in their hands, attacked and threatened to kill the occupant of one car. They ultimately destroyed the car before fleeing the scene like cowards. One of Jackson’s police officers on the scene stated that they could do nothing because the rioters would not identify themselves when asked. The police refused to control the situation and would not even take a report until the saints volunteered to handle the situation through our lawyers. Christians requested a supervisor be called but none came.

"The city of Jackson has made it perfectly clear what side they have chosen and it is not the side of the Lord Jesus. The city of Jackson is under a declared state of emergency but not for the reason they believe. Bloodshed follows bloodshed and God has declared His own state of emergency. If you sow bloodshed in the womb you will reap bloodshed in the streets. There is but one King and His Name is Jesus and every knee will bow before Him!" Rev Flip Benham, National Director, Operation Save America

1. This article is beyond bizarre.
Who are these 'saints' they mention? Since when have the police been unable to arrest rioters simply because the rioters won't give their names? And the black-clad 'anarchists' used 6' long pieces of PVC pipe to assault people (must be tricky to whack someone with so much floppy piping) and damage property, yet the police didn't feel that this warranted their intervention?

This story stinks from top to bottom. It never happened.

3. But, but, a REVEREND says it did!
I am up to here (pointing) with the phony baloney right-wing "reverends" who get all the press in this country.

6. It's incredible, isn't it?
These clowns can say anything they want and everyone just laps it up as if it's Gospel (pun intended). I guess when you spend your entire life listening to some self-appointed messenger of God lie to you from the pulpit every Sunday, your critical faculties atrophy and you just accept it all as truth.

I'm still getting over the image of black-clad anarchists running all over Mississippi carrying huge lengths of bendy drainpipe, sweating buckets in the summer heat and looking for Christians to smack. Sounds like fun.

15. I had a date to organize a "shout down"....
at the evangelical comb over club of America's (ECOCA) annual "let's let our hair down, coming round the mountain" conference at the airport Holiday Inn.

It's in August.

It's a pretty light summer for our operatives. Everyone's on vacation.

:hi:

I have NO PVC pipes with which to club people. That, and it's too damn hot to be all-clad in black.

8. This organization
is the filthy bastard child of Randall Terry's "Operation Rescue." They are shameless, cruel and utterly evil.

Among other things, why are these evil sonsofsatan persecuting the Unitarians and the Episcopals?

Anybody know anything about a "State of Emergency" in Jackson?

I had to read it three times and still could not figure out the references through the pronouns.

of the "state of emergency" http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2006-07-16-abortion-protest_x.htm

Evil, evil bastards! And not one peep about more than a tenth of a million retroactively aborted humans at the hands of their Dear Leader in Iraq. Not.One.Word. And I've no doubt these blood-guzzling freaks have actually been talking about the events in Lebanon and giggling at the carnage, since they expect it to force Yeshua to get into his Holy Rolls and come zooming back to earth. I hate these Religion Industry thugs. I honestly do. I'm sorry. But I can't help myself. I hate 'em. For what they would do to women and for what they do to the legacy of a man who was called "The Prince of Peace."

"Ye generation of VIPERS!"

27. The fundies tried to run over a pro choice advocate.
And now for the rest of the story from my hometown:
http://www.clarionledger.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060717/NEWS/607170356
"No incidents were reported to police at Operation Save America's first stop Sunday morning - the Unitarian Universalist Church at 4866 N. State St."
"But before police arrived, the windshield of a car driven by an abortion opponent was smashed after the car allegedly hit an abortion-rights supporter, said Waverly Liles, the church's board of trustees president."
"To defend the church, the pro-choice people were screening people" as they pulled up to the parking lot of the church, Liles said. "Before I could stop these guys from doing that, one of the pro-lifers, to be provocative, I'm sure, tried to drive in."
"One of the abortion-rights supporters reportedly was hit by the car and the others beat on the driver's windshield, shattering it."
