1. The military.... greatest polluters on the planet. We need a |
|
kinder gentler military that doesn't tend to pollute the way it has in the past.

2. Thank you, and may I remind everyone to keep drinking water and avoid |
|
caffeinated and alcoholic drinks as they are dehydrating. Heat stroke sneaks up on you in this weather.

4. Also make sure you have a bit of extra salt on board |
|
Otherwise you will sweat it all out, and have some major problems.
In addition, don't neglet your pets. It is best to leave them inside, but if they have to be out, make sure that they have plenty of water and shade.

5. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate |
|
Drink water, not sugary drinks. Helps to put a bit of salt in the water, as your body needs it. I volunteer for a health non profit, putting together their monthly newsletter, and just got an article about this from a naturopath who also says that drinking something like Emergen-C for the third liter of water you drink is a good idea, especially if you are outside working.

6. My hubby works outdoors (or even worse in garages) for a living.. |
|
and he is going through 2 or more gallons of liquids daily now.
His belt has to be notched tighter to hold his pants up, as they get so wet with sweat they become heavy.
We own a small business, and he feels that shorts are not very professional looking, so when he goes to repair or install a garage door, opener, etc. he wears denim material black pants.
I REALLY worry for him today, we are supposed to be even HOTTER than yesterday (central Ohio)

9. You won't find me excercising in this crap! |
|
It's gonna be 102* with a heat index of nearly 120*. Just walking to the mailbox is gonna be tough in this heat.
