Waffle Housing is putting signs for Ralph Reed at their places, Denny's is racist

1. Waffle House is franchised....
So the locations putting up Reed's signs may be owned by a supporter...

If you like 'em scattered and smothered, I would complain and say that you can't eat in an establishment that is backing a known crook and a scam artist....

2. Metro ATL here - no Reed sighting at Waffle House yet.
In one of the few Demo areas of town though.

3. There's a really nice, cool retro diner in Queens
that unfortunately plays Faux News all the time.

5. I think all the WHs in Atlanta are owned by the company
(They're headquartered in Norcross -- a suburb of Atlanta, for those not familiar with the area -- or at least used to be when I was last in contact with them.)

Outside of Atlanta, you'll occasionally find entire STATES that are controlled by ONE franchisee organization. I guess it makes the paperwork and distribution easier for them, but it does tend to put a kink in the plans of any entrepreneurs who might be interested in serving up hash browns scattered, smothered, covered, chopped, chunked, diced, peppered, teased, harangued, demagogued (Bob Novak's favorite), beaten, humiliated, and sexed-up.

6. Denny's is NOT racist
If you've never been a waiter, you wouldn't understand.

14. I've eaten at Denny's with black friends and never had problems
There used to be one on Woodward in Royal Oak. I used to go there all the time with one of my good friends. We never were treated badly, and the work crew was a pretty integrated group, too.

Weren't the Denny's problems pretty much confined to Indiana?

10. funny that you posted this right now
in flint here we have a little coney island joint called starlite that is open 24 hours. i had trouble sleeping so myself and a friend decided to go out and grab a bite. everything goes smoothly until we're done eating, and we stayed for about an extra 30 mins to talk.

at about that time, i had my legs crossed on top of the seats, one of the waitresses asked me to put my feel down--not a problem, it was just a natural instinct, it's not as if i haven't done it thirty times before in the past--but hey, not a problem.

then the next comment, coming from the kitchen..."this isn't the gay bar".
it just never ceases to suprise me how intolerant and bigoted some people are.

needless to say our business will be taken elsewhere.

16. Move to NJ. We have tons of independent 24-hour diners.
They're way better than Waffle Houses or Denny's.
