Parodies for all occasions - Part Two
No Spin Man (To the tune of Nowhere Man – The Beatles)

(ch)
He’s a real no-spin man, lying as only he can
Someone please just give this man a Peabody

He’s not nice to to people see
For they dare to disagree
No spin man will hang up when you call

No spin man, won’t listen, unless his ass you’re kissin’
No spin man, at best, you’re a loudmouth that’s bland

He’s unkind as he can be, always must be right you see
No spin man does not hear you at all
Wouldn’t call anyone names, pinheads, zombies, nutso dames
Master of unmitigated gall

No spin man, I’m sorry, you’re a lie laboratory
Laugh it up, a footnote of shame will be yours in the end

(ch)

Rancor Away (To the tune of Anchors Aweigh)

Rancor away, Ann-noise, Rancor away
Venom and lies are all that come out when you bray-ay-ay-ay
Grasping at men of straw, Ann’s making hay
Who let this one trick pony ever get air play-ay-ay-ay

Please buy her books someone, they’re all on sale
Or she’ll be run out of Random House on a rail-ail-ail-ail
Ordered in bulk by Scaife, warehouses bulge
Pallets of giveaways, who gets them we cannot divulge

Demonize liberals, ad nauseum
Those who will not embrace her point of view are leftist scum
Clintons and Kennedys, Howard Dean too
Have done more wrong it seems than Hitler or Stalin could do

Ricky, we’ve got your number
(To the tune of Ricky don’t lose that number – Steely Dan)

We heard you’re flailing, that’s ok
Bet you thought the good times had just begun
In all the crap you snared yourself, still gonna run?
I guess you gotta play the part

ch
Ricky we got your number
Foot in mouth unlike anyone else
Strange enough we’re indebted to your badself
Ricky don’t get no dumber
You might forget how to breathe
When you lose big this November
Where will you call home

You have a house in town, it bears your name
Though you live 400 miles down the road
Are there any other hypocracies, we oughta know
K street might be a real good start

(ch)

You tell us that you’re good and kind
Even Helen Keller ain’t that blind
We know it’s all performance art

(ch)

Ricky we got your
Ricky we got your
Ricky we got your number

1. Bravo!
Especially liked the No Spin Man-but then I've always liked songs by John Lennon, and I could imagine his voice singing the lyrics.
