Did the Israeli Captives First Trespass

8. Funny? Are You Kidding Me?
Edited on Mon Jul-17-06 09:58 AM by DistressedAmerican
Since when does hurling such accusations of racism at folks WITH ABSOLUTELY NO EVIDENCE qualify as funny? Seriously? Where do you get off with that?

That is all this poster seems to be able to do and far from being funny it is offensive and repugant.

He should be ashamed of himself, as should anyone that thinks such insults are funny.

10. And if it's false would you profess the same position
against the kidnappers?

5. I Think We Have All Had Enough Of You Implyin Others Are Anti-Semites.
Edited on Mon Jul-17-06 09:57 AM by DistressedAmerican
Balbus,

Is that the only argument you have to offer here?

You tried that shit on me the other day. I have a proven track record of actually forcing the closing of anti-semitic websites. Yet, you still threw that implication in my face. You are totally dishonest on this issue and as you apparently have NO FACTS to back your BS, you fall back on this shit.

You should be ashamed of yourself. But, I can see that will never happen. So, all I can do is point you out and make sure that everyone here knows your repugnant little game.

Cut this crap out. It is repulsive and wrong.

2. From what I heard, Hezbollah did the trespassing
Edited on Mon Jul-17-06 09:44 AM by Selatius
Supposedly to relieve pressure off of Gaza by opening up a 2nd front. Of course, the day before Gilad Shalit was abducted by Gaza militants, Israel sent a small squad to invade Gaza space to abduct two people: A doctor and his son. Israel claims they were Hamas members. Nobody knows their fate. There has been no formal charges. No hearing. Nothing.

12. Not to mention the arrests of the Hamas politicians
Israel is taking this "opportunity" to wipe both Hamas and Hizbollah out. And once that's done, I wonder who they expect will step into their place in the Palestinian government.

caught on the Lebanon side of the border hence the capture of these soldiers.

13. Wouldn't Hezbollah be saying this?
The leader's been on TV trying to get support for his cause. If the Israeli soldiers were captured on Lebanese land, wouldn't he be saying that? It'd certainly lend support to his argument that Hizbollah is only acting to repel Israeli invaders. But nope, no mention of where the soldiers were taken.

14. So I Shouldn't Ask This Question Then
because I am lending a defense to Hezbollah? I am asking if anybody KNOWS who tresspassed. That's all...

There is plenty of info circulating and I want to make sure I know the facts.

a question as well. If this were true, wouldn't Hezbollah be proclaiming this to the media?

17. I haven't read a full text translation of the Hezbollah leaders
statements to be able to make such a determination. Do you have a link to the full text of his two public statements since the capture of the soldiers?

Here is one mention of the israeli trespass found in an Asia Times article. I'm not vouching for its accuracy, just documenting that there are reports 'out there' that israel did the trespassing.

http://www.atimes.com/atimes/Middle_East/HG15Ak02.html

--snip--

It all started on July 12 when Israel troops were ambushed on Lebanon's side of the border with Israel. Hezbollah, which commands the Lebanese south, immediately seized on their crossing. They arrested two Israeli soldiers, killed eight Israelis and wounded over 20 in attacks inside Israeli territory.

25. Sorry, but that's wrong
Edited on Mon Jul-17-06 09:10 PM by Marie26
Here's the BBC report - "Lebanese guerrillas have captured two Israeli soldiers in a cross-border raid."

The Hezbollah statement: "Fulfilling its pledge to liberate the prisoners and detainees, the Islamic Resistance... captured two Israeli soldiers at the border with occupied Palestine," the Hezbollah statement said.

According to the BBC, and Hezbollah, the soldiers were captured at the Israeli border. The Israeli soldiers were not captured in Lebanon.

18. Initial reports are frequently wrong.
No Jews showed up at the WTC on 9/11.

The Israeli embassy was warned about the 7/7 bombings.

The Israeli soldiers were on the Lebanese side of the border.

What's the thread in all of these claims?

Early reports that suited one side's propaganda said what the reporters wanted to be true. They were eventually proven wrong. They are still widely quoted within some side's propaganda to make sure that it's the Elders of Zion that are the responsible parties, not some poor, dumb Muslims dat don't know nuttin'.

For some, the Jews or Israelis are always at fault; for others, the Muslims are always never at fault. What's best is when there's a happy confluence of the two.
