This dog&pony show on investment fraud & seniors on CSPAN now |

being run by Christopher Cox (SEC). What is the purpose of it? Is this supposed to be an implication of oversight by the Rs without actual representatives being there? Congress sets up the laws that govern what kinds of financial instruments and then leave blackhole-sized loopholes in them which are readily used against investors, often by the confidence men in the financial industry--let alone your lowly average confidence man. Like, we're supposed to believe that something will really be done about these issues other than to make certain that the all-powerful "Market" takes care of losers?

1. You want to talk about investment fraud? Well let's talk about social |

security. When Raygun raised our SS payments and increased the age of benefits, that was suppose to fix SS for us baby boomers. So what happened? What happened to all that money I paid in? Why isn't my SS keeping up with inflation? Why is SS in such trouble when the money going in was worth a whole lot more than the money that is coming out? The $10 I paid in 1975 was sure worth a hell of lot more than the $10 I'm going to get back. So why is SS such a mess?

you can bet that whenever congress decides to return for work, some smarmy R will be trying to claim credit for some BS that came out of the bloviating occurring right now. TO them, that constitutes oversight.
