I just got a recorded call telling me to vote Repub. against Reed tomorrow |
|
The female did give her name, but I didn't catch it. She said she had seen an expose on Ralph Reed and his dealings with Abramoff on NPR this weekend, and she's asking the Ga. Dems to vote Republican in the Ga. primary tomorrow AGAINST Ralph Reed. "If we get someone like Reed in office as Lt. Gov. we can kiss our Democracy goodby!"
I wonder how many of these calls are being made?
I don't think I agree with voting Pub tomorrow. If too many Dems do that, sure it could stop Reed, but it could also throw the Dem races into a run off election!
Did any of you get this call?

1. You may be better off with Reed running in the general election. |
|
I'm guessing that those calls are from Republicans who think that Reed can't win in the general election. The Democrats my be better off if he wins the primary.

But, shit, everybody knows I'm as paranoid as a canary at a cat convention.

2. I'll probably vote in the repug primary. The dem primary in my district |
|
will only have the gubernatorial race on the ballot (I could be wrong) and there are several local races here that are important, where the dems don't even put up a candidate because there's such a repug stronghold. I was considering voting for Reed thinking that he would be easier for the dems to beat in the general selection. It would be nice to see him indicted before November.

4. Actually, there will be a number of State races on every dist. ballot. |
|
Gov, Lt. Gov, Sec. of State, Attorney General, State School Superintendent, Commissioner of Labor, and several others, but in the others the Dem candidate has no opposition.
I guess the thing that worries me is if Reed wins the primary, those damn voting machines might make it possible for him to WIN in Nov.

If the voting machines are compromised then they may also help him win the primary.

6. Hmmm. You're right. I guess in the primary though, it depends on |
|
which Pub candidate the Pub machine chooses as THEIRS!

8. I was going to vote Republican against Reed but I may change my mind. |
|
Caspar in the Georgia forum made a good argument against doing so.
GA Democrats might be better off with Reed instead of Cagle as the R-Lt. Gov. candiate. I'm torn. I've never crossed and voted Reublican in my entire life. I'll have to decide today because tomorrw we vote!

9. I just got the same call. I've decided I'm going to vote for Ralphie |
|
because:
A) The dems have a better chance to defeat him in the general election B) The elections are already decided C) I will have the joy of watching another elected republican go down down down
Let's hope a dem can retake the governor's seat! I still don't believe Perdue was Elected!
