Just heard on MSNBC that Israel admitted to crossing borders first BUT
only for a short time. I guess long enough to make sure someone was captured to have an excuse to begin this attack?

2. Did they also admit to killing those innocent picnickers prior to that?

9. No, they have said they didn't do it. It was Hamas weapons on the ground
that did. Not Israel's fault at all if their bombs exploded the mines? So Israel, by their standard, is neither responsible for killing the civilians on the beach either directly or indirectly.

3. Kidnapping happened
i Israeli territory:

Hezbollah’s assault on Israeli soldiers inside Israeli territory bore similarities to the raid by the Palestinians last month, and suddenly, the crisis on Israel’s southern flank had essentially been replicated on its northern border, ratcheting up tensions even further.

6. I believe they meant that Israel crossed the border this morning.
Not before the soldiers were kidnapped.

5. Israel is very upfront
about this. They intend to create a buffer zone in southern Lebanon.

BEIRUT, Lebanon (CNN) -- Amid renewed cross-border fighting between Israeli and Hezbollah forces, Israel said Monday that it intends to create a buffer zone in southern Lebanon to stop rocket attacks from the militant group.

"We intend to complete this operation. We have no intention of allowing anyone to stop us before we complete the creation of a buffer zone," Israeli Defense Minister Amir Peretz said.

7. that'll really work
Israel exapands its territory and the new rockets get placed at the new border.

Not that I think that there's any solution to all this insanity. I'm just sayin'

8. The fight against oppression know no borders as 9/11 proved.
there is no limit to this by either space or time as the Israel attacks also prove.

10. No solution

I think the idea is that these militia org. find a home in the Muslim south & would be less able to operate in the rest of Lebanon. But whatever - even if that works short term, it won't work long term. Say Israel expands & eradicates Hizbollah; another organization devoted to ending Israel could just arise in its place. Hizbollah itself is just a replacement for the PLO; who Israel kicked out the last time they occupied southern Lebanon. Even if they do disarm Hezbollah, who's to say another radical org. won't arise in it's place? And given the brutality of the Israeli attacks on Lebanon, maybe the radical groups could find even more supporters.

11. Who are those two soldiers anyway?
It struck me today what a dearth of information there is on these two kidnapped soldiers. When the teen was kidnapped by Hamas, we got photos and a life history. These two, we don't even know their names. I did some googling and couldn't find any information about them.

13. No, they're admitting
crossing the border now, not when the soldiers were captured.

crossed Lebanon's border and 2 soldiers were captured and then it was changed.
