1. Are you talking about the Lebanese Hezbollah...
or the Venezuelan Hezbollah?

2. If they can cause this with only a thousand and the paltry weapons they
have and no fighter jets, what would they do if they had comparable weapons to Israel?

4. As would any of Israel's neighbors.
That's the crux of the problem.

5. Syria and Egypt were unable to do it in 1973 and the was the best
chance the Arab nations are ever going to get to wipe out Israel.

7. If Hezbollah had weapons comparable to Israel
Israel wouldn't be trying to destroy them.

6. Its indeterminate
Hezbollah is part political party, part armed faction, part government. It also has sympathizers who are not formally affiliated with it and I am sure some detractors who are.

Its akin to asking how big is/was the Republican movement in Northern Ireland. Do you count only those with guns, or does Sinn Fein figure in the totals? You get the idea.

Consensus is that Hezbollah has 10,000 artillery rockets. They also hold two portfolios in the Lebanese cabinet. You don't mange that with just 1000 members.
