Can't verify yet. But if true, this does it for me. If you are in a position of influence and can't even call for a cease-fire and an end to hostilites,no matter who you support, you don't belong in a position of power in my mind.

10. If she were the nominee, I'd vote for her
and I'm not yet inclinded to campaign against her. By the time the 2008 campaign officially rolls out and she officially announces throwing her hat in the race, this current situation will have taken many turns.

So, I'm keeping my powder dry...for now. LOL!

Still, if this is indeed true, coming out for the cameras in this way is not a strategically smart move, IMO. I wonder if her opponent in her Senate campaign has been mouthing off pushing her to make a statement of some sort. :shrug:

3. Thousands rally to support Israel
<snip>

"Several thousand protesters descended upon the United Nations in New York City to show American support for Israel.

Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.), Nobel laureate Elie Wiesel and Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Dan Gillerman, were among the speakers Monday in defense of Israel’s actions and its campaign against terrorism.

Clinton condemned the “unwarranted, unprovoked attacks from Hamas, Hezbollah and their state sponsors” and called these groups “the new totalitarians of the 21st century.” She added: “We will stand with Israel because Israel is standing for American values as well as Israeli ones.”

Several protesters required medical attention because of the extreme heat."

4. Very Bad Move!!!
With The Pope chastising Israel, what does she expect to gain.

Of course, I haven't been in her corner for quite some time anyway.... so go at it Hillary, one more stepping stone away from US having to deal with you in 08!

9. That's a good move for her Senate race.
That's her constituency in NYC. Even though I do not agree with her, I see nothing wrong with this.

12. Hillary must be caught in the middle.
She wants to support Israeli interests in her community, but is likely not in support of the bombing and aggression. This is likely a lose-lose situation for her, no matter how she plays it, she's going to lose support.
