A Congressman who kept his word
You all know by my post I fight for Veterans and the Returning troops. Bob Filner 51st District California sent me a letter after Lane Evans Ranking member of the Veterans Committee had to step down for a while the short letter is below.
Dear Dale
Thank you for your Call.

Congressman Evans has been an inspitational and tenacious voice for veterans ever since he came to Congress, and it will be hard to do without him. For that reason,I am so pleased to hear from you.Working together ,we hopefully be able to pick up the fight for our nation's veterans where he left off.

Please feel free to call on me whenever I can be of assistance.

I did we had a young Marine who was hurt in the first attack on Iraq. Three years he had been trying to get help from the VA. This Marine was wounded plus had a very severe cass of PTSD. He was even locked down in a jail ward without help for two weeks. He was on the verge of going Homeless we helped pay for his back bills. But this Congressman went to work for this Marine I am very pleased with the results as of today the Marine is the first Iraqi Veteran to recieve 100% for his PTSD. When the replugs say they support veterans and the troops they lie. This Congressman by his deeds show why we must take back the House and Senate the only way veterans the troops and you will be taken care of. If you need help for any reason this Congressman even if he not yours will help you 100% he will send your needs to the right people. We Veterans and you need more people like him.

1. Amazingly enough about Evans
a few years ago, the gop tried to attack him on Vets issues. The people in the 17th District in Illinois are smarter than that and sent his opponent back to his law practice and safe chicken hawk ways. It is very sad that Evans has to retire but he has to due to Parkinson's disease. Maybe with stem cell research, a cure could be found for this debilitating disease.

3. Great work, MM!
I get my situation straightened out where I can function a little better, I'll get in touch & see if I can't emulate your example. That is an inspiring example of what is possible in these times, it sure is nice to hear some positive news. Kind of makes my day. BZ.
