5. That's his job
That's what we need him to do-we need someone who can get the message out to the people, not just preach to the choir. Dean never turns down an opportunity for that reason. What good would it do if he were going to just gon on liberal news shows only?

14. No, I'm not
I was answering the statement that Dean will take any facetime he gets. That's exactly what he should do.

2. And his lead in to the segment
at the top of the show added...

"And I'll explain why that's just insane..."

I tuned out right away.

8. what Dean and dems NEED to do is start ATTACKING this M$M
mindset at every opporunity:

take on the twits like Carlson, but take on the "giants" like Russert and challenge their treatment of dems vs. pugs

how great would it be for some dem to have a suitcase full of Russert's sycophantic, leading questions to any pug you'd care to name, then contrast that with the way he routinely goes after the dems

they should do this at EVERY opportunity, until the M$M is forced to deal with it

it's what the pugs have been doing for thirty years, and they've been successful, with full media complicity, of foisting the huge, gigantic lie of a monolithic, liberal media.

it's very obvious here, but the dems better start wising up, because the only way they're going to get their message out is to confront them on this. it's not getting any better; it's getting WORSE, as today's exchange exemplifies

can you imagine the way Mehlman would be treated by that little twerp? can you imagine him starting out by describing the actions of the RNC as "insane?"

11. I think you have to be cautious about doing that.
If you really pi** them off, you'll never get invited back, and THAT doesn't accomplish your purpose! I actually like the way Howard has been handling the interviews. He doesn't let the host manage his comments anymore. I know the last time I saw him on Wolfe's show, he did a GREAT job of smacking Wolfie bad, but he wasn't mean or unprofessional in how he did it!

13. I understand very well, and it's obvious that this sort of thing has
happened to several strong voices on our side

the solution lies in UNITY of voice...or, as the puggofascists do it: talking points that are CLEARLY distributed in some manner

Jon Stewart has done several pieces on this, showing clip after clip of pugs from the highest level, down to the lowest form of radio vermin, using the exact, same WORDS to plant their memes

until the dems wise up and start playing the same game, I don't see how things are going to change

they can't keep ALL dems off the air, and if all the major voices unite under the flag of M$M bias against them, you're no doubt correct

course, dems don't appear to have the unity, or, more importantly, the NERVE to attempt such an apparently risky approach

that's why they remain thusly

Edited on Mon Jul-17-06 03:52 PM by durrrty libby
That's the way the cookie crumbles.

Tucker is about as low as I will go.
I would get ill if I watched Hannity or Billo

Yup, everyone has their limits.

18. Carlson didn't even have Dean on?
Rather than a live discussion Carlson chose to argue with an inanimate object (a piece of videotape)? Looks like he's absorbed the lessons of Rush Limbaugh very, very well. Rush likes to argue with inanimate objects, too.
