Imagine being liberated from a Nazi death camp only to be imprisoned

Nazi exhibit 'shows how far we have come'

<snip>Gay men had been persecuted since the time of Kaiser Wilhem I. When the Nazis came to power, they made the punishment more severe.

Under Wilhem, sexual acts and "indecencies" meant jail time. Under the Nazis, even a look deemed "sexual" could send a man to a death camp, marked as a "pink triangle."

It didn't get any better for gay men when the concentration camps were liberated.

"The Nazi law remained on the books in West Germany until 1969. Those who came out of the camps that had anything indicating that they were pink triangles were re-arrested and sent to prison," Phillips says.

2. Thanks for the bit of history -- we hear about the Jews --
but rarely about the other minorities caught up by the Nazi hate machine.

3. Jews, who take this very seriously, make a point to hear about the others

If you visit The Holocaust museum in D.C., for example, you'll learn about the Jews, Gypsies, Gays, etc.

There was plenty of murder to go around for everyone.

4. That's your
lack. There's tons and tons of information out there about other people who suffered under the Nazis. It's not exactly hidden away.
