Naming names: Who are the Fundamentalist Whackos in our Government?
Sam Brownback. Gary Bauer. Rick Santorum. Help me out here.

The three mentioned above are all supporters of Rev. John Hagee, and end of timer like Falwell and Robertson.

But who are the others? They must be named and identified as dangerous maniacs.

4. He claims to be.
But sometimes I wonder if he's not faking it. If he is, and many suspect he is, he's the most dangerous of them all.

12. I don't think so
I think they're true Calvinists and think they were predestined to wealth and power and an eventual trip to heaven so it doesn't matter what they do to the rest of us here on earth. The only way they can queer such a soft deal is by refusing to give maximum lip service to Jebus.

They think that by adhering to the first 3 commandments they can ignore the other seven. They really believe that.

9. The psalm singing hypocrites are Rice, Bush,
Santorum, Frist, Delay, Cornyn, Domenici, and dozens in the House. Prayer meetings are forced, as is babble study. Straying from the Calvinist approved passages in Leviticus, Genesis, and Paul is discouraged.

Peripheral figures are far worse, the rapture addled Tim LaHaye and his wife are two of the worst, and every decision concerning the middle east is vetted by LaHaye. For those of you who don't know, he's the charmer responsible for the poorly written and blasphemous Left Behind series. Franklin Graham (Billy's hideous offspring) is a frequent guest, as are Robertson and Fallwell.

Then there are the nominally secular but just as pernicious economic true believers like Norquist. He's responsible for the "cut taxes, make government so small you can drown it in the bathtub," crack, something that has not appeared in print in the MSM since New Orleans became a bathtub and so many people drowned because the government agency responsible for aid during a national disaster was made small.

The ascent of so many very small men to such heights of power will be studied by survivors for many hundreds of years. This is only a partial list, alas, as their numbers are great and our work is cut out for us.
