Stupid questions about the Bush/shit video...
Edited on Mon Jul-17-06 04:48 PM by TwoSparkles
I admittedly know nothing about audio/video--so these questions may be
really ignorant question, but I'm wondering a couple of things.

In the video where Bush says "shit", this was a supposed accidental
recording of his words-- which happened because he unknowingly left his microphone
on, during his conversation with Blair.

I understand how this could happen. It sounds logical. However, there
is also video of this "shit" conversation. If he left his mic on, how
is it that there is also a camera on him, filming his conversation--and
that video is perfectly in sync with the audio?

Was the camera accidentally left on, as well?

Another question that may be stupid: Wouldn't the recording device--that
was accidentally left running--correspond to one video device? When I look
at the video at Crooksandliars.com--it appears that the video/audio are coming from
the same equipment. If Junior had simply left a microphone on, wouldn't the entire room
be able to hear his words? Wouldn't someone have said, "Hey, the whole room can hear
you swearing and smacking your gums."?

Again, I know this questions might reveal my lack of technical expertise, but
I'll take a chance and ask them anyway.

1. The Russians were still filming the luncheon.
I guess the film crew hadn't been told to cut yet.

2. The room was positively bristling with microphones
and clogged with cameras. Technicians were in evidence everywhere, indicating that the equipment was being RUN.

Anybody who buys this pathetic story is a fool.

Bush is disinhibited to the point of being a total boor. I think Pootie Poot has gotten him drinking again, as evidenced by that beer bottle at his plate at a state dinner a couple of days ago.

Stupid was undoubtedly swilling it out of the bottle.

Stupid also made a telling comment about the quality of Russian vodka in Russia.

3. Comment about vodka? DO TELL!
I've been convinced for years that AssInChief is on the sauce again, but any additional proof will be appreciated!

5. Blair leans over to turn off mike
This is from Juan Cole's report . . .

Bush: Lean on Syria

I cobbled the Bush-Blair exchange on Israel and Lebanon, accidentally caught at the G8 on mike, together from WaPo and ABC News.

BUSH to Blair: "I think Condi is going to go (to the Middle East) pretty soon."

BLAIR: "Right, that's all that matters, it will take some time to get that together . . . See, if she goes out she's got to succeed as it were, where as I can just go out and talk."

BUSH: "See, the irony is what they need to do is get Syria to get Hizbollah to stop doing this shit and it's over."

BLAIR: "Who, Syria?"

BUSH: "Right . . . What about Kofi? That seems odd. I don't like the sequence of it. His attitude is basically ceasefire and everything else happens."

BLAIR: "I think the thing that is really difficult is you can't stop this unless you get this international presence agreed." . . .

BUSH: "I felt like telling Kofi to get on the phone with Assad and make something happen. We're not blaming Israel. We're not blaming the Lebanese government."

In the Crooks and Liars video, Blair does lean over to turn off a mike after seemingly being alerted and the voices can't be heard any longer and Bush seems surprised at the same time.
