2. I don't think characterizing the NYT as crowing

over Sunnis wanting the US forces to stay is accurate. The NYT has had one editorial after another slamming bushco on Iraq. They publish more anti-Iraq war columnists than any other major paper. In other words, despite the J Miller fiasco, they are decidedly not pro-war.

How do I know? I read the damn rag in hard copy every single day.

Sure, the Sunnis want the Americans to take the brunt of the internecine warfare so as to weaken the Shiite coalition by pitting them against American forces. Geez can't you all see that???
