Children sign bombs destined to kill
Edited on Mon Jul-17-06 08:20 PM by splat@14
I don't post this to show support for either side in this mess in the Middle East. Only to show how the next generation of hate is built...this happens on both sides and is truly heart breaking.
Splat

"Heartwarming isn't it? Israeli girls writing messages on missiles soon to be launched at across the border, where Lebanese kids will likely be killed. The original AP photo is from here<http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/060717/481/c8723701e8f644f0b5befd7df750e8ea>, where you can read the details of where this picture was taken.

Anyone want to take a gander at the contents of the messages? I guess if you can read Hebrew, you don't have to guess, just take a look at this close-up photo of the missile originally posted here<http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/060717/481/f9bc38f9a3a9401fb864a02b3a24f678>."

"I feel sad and ashamed for these little girls, but of course it is not them who ultimately are to blame for the ugliness that these photos capture."

Fuck any little boy "studying" in any of those fucking madras' who wants to fucking kill someone cause his God has a bigger dick. Fuck the Sunnis who loved Saddam and now want us to stay and protect them from the fucking Shiites who are fucking killing them indiscriminately. Fuck the Israeli settlers and fuck the Israeli army. Fuck Hezbollah and fuck Hamas. They are all going to hell and they're going to fucking take us all with them. And again... fuck those little girls and their fucking parents who think it's OK to kill someone else's children!

Is that what you wanted to fucking hear?

Because you sure seem to be wanting to change the subject real fast with no comment on the Israel girls. the is pretty fucked up to assume just because we don't mention the palestianian suicide bombers in ever damn post that means we CONDONE them. It's not the fucking topic of this thread, that could be a reason why he didn't mention it. that is so fucking low. I actually feel sorry for YOU.

I think it is wonderful for these girls to be showing their support.

I have some hesitation, however, if they are doing this at the site where the shells are being fired from. I don't think children should be present there, as it makes them targets.

7. I went to the site and saw the pics
I agree with you, not the best example - I would have taken a higher road and excluded the kids from getting anywhere near the ordnance.

I'm not a holier than thou person, but I think I agree with you when I say maybe not having the kids write stuff on the actual bombs was the best thing to do. Kids don't really know, it sets a weird example, even if they are protecting themselves from incoming from time to time. If they want to get the children involved, maybe a letter writing campaign (excluding propagandistic intent as much as possible), but not on the bombs at the ASP (ammo supply point).

They are kids for cryin' out loud.
Thanks Splat

11. We've always seen this in war...
Once you can dehumanize the "enemy," all atrocities are acceptable and any actions toward those atrocities is called "patriotism." The 20th century alone gives abundant proof of it.

I think it's horrible that adults would condone or promote this kind of thing, passing on their worst bigotry to little ones who might make---and desperately need---a safer and better future. Reprehensible, the mind-poisoning that goes on...everywhere.

owned that land before it was stolen and given away as a "final solution" for the non Nazi world. We make a 1st world military power out of a third world racist nation state that was made out of thin air.

This is pitiful to have 10 and 12 year old girls sending messages of hate on ordance to kill other childeren. If you can't see how sick that is you must have some serious problems.

25. Oh, it's a bad sign allright
And while I disagree with you about Israel, I wasn't trying to make that point. My post didn't assign blame to anybody. It's the cycle of violence that perpetuates both this, as well as Palestinian kids going out in the street to throw rocks at tanks. Neither one is a good idea, but that's what happens when you're in constant conflict for three or four generations.

36. it's SO sad that the attackers were defined by their religion
Because they are not true representatives of any religion that I have ever heard of.

I know there are a lot of people here who are opposed to organized religion, an attitude I both respect and understand because of the wrongs that have been done in the name of religion.

But I don't think these acts are representative in any way of the Jewish faith, from what little I have read about it (I'm not Jewish). In my reading (just a few books, I admit) I've actually been very impressed by the tenets of Judaism, and according to my limited understanding of it, this kind of lack of respect for someone of another faith (not to mention the violence) is emphatically not cool with the religion itself.

It's awful that the little boy, in particular, has apparently been taught to behave like this. The adult is responsible for her actions, but the kid is just doing what he's been told.

33. There is so much hatred in this world, we are losing our link to
humanity.

All of those who profess death and destruction should be castigated by the rest of humanity; tossed into dark holes and left ot to wallow in their own hatred.

For those who require or pressure others to become suicide bombers, they should take this task upon themselves if this is such a grand idea. With luck, they would suffer the explosion prematurely, and the innocent from either side would be spared. Strange indeed that none of these "leaders" have found that the act they revel in for others, cannot bring themselves to do the deed.

Those who have never served in the military, those that have never stood the line against a dedicated enemy, regardless of religious preference or nationality, seem to be the ones that are willing to release carnage upon others. They are cowards and prove themselves as such every day.

How is this any better than Children carrying mock AK47s or wearing mock suicide belts?

I have seen many claims on this board over the past few days preaching about Israel's moral superiority over the "barbaric" arabs....

Sorry, this just proves that Israel has become, and has assured that the next generation has become everything they claim to be fighting against.

May God have mercy on us all, and upon these children and the children who will receive their messages.

43. So long as fear drives the sane to trust in weapons, walls, and wars...
Friends traveled to Israel/Palestine several years ago. I created a webpage to post their journals. They met with Israeli Jews who wanted to end the occupation, Israeli Jews who thought Isreal's response was appropriate, Palestinians of all points of view. Here is what the Reverand on the trip had to say:

It is, I think, rather easy to justify things from a distance, to look at the documents, study the culture, and point the finger at the other in justification of the self. Seeing life "on the hoof" is a steed of a different hue. "Facts on the ground" do not lie or deceive. I cannot accept the current collective punishment of the Palestinians by pointing the finger at the extremists, any more than I can accept the Bush administration actions in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the USA by replaying the video of Sept. 11.

It is certainly a fact that there are those building the belt bombs in Gaza, Nablus, and other places in Palestine to strike at the heart of Israel. This cannot be denied and cannot be justified. It is terrorism. However, those who build the belt bombs do not create the boys and girls who wear them. Those are created by the continued occupation and oppression of the Palestinian people. They are created by the denial of hope, the loss of a future.

Furthermore, even as I call the suicide bombing an act of terrorism, so too are the Apache helicopter attacks, the F-16 strikes and the war being waged against the people of the West Bank.

War=terrorism=war=terrorism, ad infinitum, ad nauseum, ad absurdum.

Finally, it was stated that we are only meeting with the "lunatic fringe" in Israel. Guilty as charged. I have often been accused of being on the lunatic fringe, but so long as collective punishment of people is considered a sane way to peace as in the case of Afghanistan, Iraq, the West Bank, and many other places in the world, I will choose the lunatics. So long as fear drives the sane to trust in weapons, walls, and wars for illusive security, I will stand with the lunatics.

Hitler youth signed bombs made in Germany. And Germany had support from the Bush crime family. Israeli youth are signing bombs made in the United States. And Israel also has support from the Bush Crime family. Just a happy sick little coincidence worth comparing.

44. This statement was not intended to be anti-semitic;
it was intended to shed light on the difference between children of different cultures. And the difference is the shameful and xenophobic ideals adults teach them. Also I wanted to shed light on the leadership that supports such ideals that perpetuate the hate. In addition history has a tendency to repeat it self, the comparing of past atrocities to the present might persuade people to stop there leadership from going down a known and deadly path
