Never vote for Republicans again. Really like I'm gonna believe house Republicans will clean up their mess. It's amazing that Republicans constantly act as if I'm a moran. Seriously when will a majority of the US stop letting these people wipe their bottoms on them. They don't clearly don't respect you.

When I was in the military we were subject to the UCMJ. One of the charges available under it was for fratenization. The exact wording escapes me but the part I find relevant is "any appearance of impropriety is enough to have commited the offense." That is the kind of wording we need in a congressional ethics law. That would make it so much harder for them to get away with corruption. It does not undermine their normal rights. They still would be able to face their accusers. They still would be able to conduct an affirmative defense and would be entitled to the presumption of innocence until proven guilty. What this would do is raise the bar on their conduct. They would avoid like the plauge any action that may be construed as unethical. Just a thought.
