Poll question: IYO, The Current Israeli Incursion Will Make Them More Or Less SAFE?
Edited on Tue Jul-18-06 07:58 AM by DistressedAmerican
Over the long run, say the next ten years, do you think the current incursion will make Israel more or less safe?

1. This will galvanize and unite the Arabs
who already hate Israel. They should secure their borders, but the indescriminate bombing of Lebanon is not going to help them get along with their neighbors. Damn Bolton for refusing to allow sanctions by the UN. We are going to go right down the toilet with Israel . . . oh I forgot, we already have.

3. Actually... No
Actually, it's splitting the Arabs - the Saudis and the Egyptians are blaming the terrorists, probably because they mistrust Iran.

Look, whether you like it or not, Israel is here to stay and it has a right to defend itself. How would you feel if missiles and suicide bombings were part of your daily life?

6. First thing I'd do
is go after the real villians, not target innocent civilians. Israel is simply lowering themselves to the same level as the terrorists with this course of action.

2. Yes, but Likud will be guaranteed power for decades to come...
Let's get our priorities straight.

5. Nothing will drive people to join and support Hezbollah faster
As they are the only party in Lebanon that has openly vowed to defend against Israeli aggression. People are being killed by Israeli attacks. Many of those who do manage to flee despite Israel attacks having destroyed roads, bridges and airports, will have their homes utterly destroyed and their towns and neighborhoods left a mass of rubble. How can this possibly get people to stop hating Israel?
