The debates taking place today in our congress
The house to debate a constitutional amendment banning same sex marriage

The senate to debate whether to continue the ban on funding stem cell research.

Fuck these bastards. With the world going up in flames, this is what they consider the priorities of the day. Hell, why do we need stem cell research anyway? We have all these televangelists who, for a samll monthly fee, will smack you on your forehead and cure you of all disease. Other modern countries don't have that technology. YEAH, we're number 1...we're number 1.

Orrin Hatch says he consulted the Bible on this issue. :mad:

1. The stem cell debate is important but not for the reason...
...that the right wingers want to have it. For them, it's a rich and tasty, rally-the-fundies slice of cake. :mad:
